See, Vanraj is unapologetically grey...he has an arc too.

Virat's characterization is neither here nor there....they butcher him to criminal level, whitewash him and present him as worthy of winning Sai again (Did you read a character sketch of Virat by one of the members yesterday - he fitted that of a covert narcissist to the T).

In Kusum Dola, the ML was grey....he neglected and emotionally abused his wife...and there were consequences to his actions - his wife finally left him. That's good story telling - where characters make decisions and those decisions determine the plot as well as impact their own life.

Ghum is absolute trash as far as writing is concerned. Pakhi's characterization is another brainless one.

And to add to all this ridiculousness, they add killer dose of toxicity in every plot. The same surrogacy + separation + remarriage could have been written with lot less toxicity.

I am just really surprised that TV audience is liking and watching this next to Anupama …. How? Why?

Virat who always said and believed to live in present and never looked back to his past neither he addressed it, he moved on and wanted everyone to moved on. He neither realised how difficult it will be for Sai to stay in a same house where a lady loves his man, nor he tried to understand how difficult it will be for Pakhi to move beside seeing the man she loves in front of her everyday. And for that poor fellow Samrat, uski toh baat hi mat Karo.

Now see he himself isn't able to move on from his past neither he is able to accept present and live happily, other than Vinnu he really doesn't have anything to be happy.

Coming to Sai, a girl who always believed in speaking truth, who never feared to speak truth although it's consequences might be worse. There was no right right time in her dictionary at all. All the truth she spoke was actually never directly connected to her or the ones she loves more than herself, now it's Savi that's why she fears to talk any harsh truth because she fears to loose.

Aur itna hi nahi, on that whole Rajeev Shiavni track she was keep talking about closure, we need to give closure to any relationship otherwise it will give us long life trauma and we won't be able to move on, be it happy or sad but every relationship needs closure. But see the irony now, neither she is telling truth to her daughter nor giving closure to her daughters question which is actually affecting that kid. Not only that after accident she didn't informed family about Vinnu accident neither she informed about her whereabouts means not giving closure to her relationships with Virat and Chavan family, something like Rajeev did.

Coming to Pakhi, iska toh eassy hi banjayega but to cut short, a lady who wanted to hold her past so dearly that she even spoiled her own life and put herself and an unborn kid also in danger because of obsession. But irony is she wants Virat to get over that past. She never let go Virat from her life and forcefully got stuck or say unhealthy obsession but now wants Virat to let go Sai so that she can live happily in present.

But destiny has a big play in everyone's life here.

Basically post leap all characters are stuck in their own principles and failed to follow it, it's easy to preach but hard to practice. It's every characters test here but all of them have to grow individually but before that they will have great to small downfall so that they can rise.

This has me curious too...

I guess TRP audience don't worry too much about morals..they would have developed tolerance after years of toxic content on ITV. They watch it casually while doing their chores...don't go too much into details like us. Maybe they even like zillat dram...or atleast it keeps their attention..that's why we get loads of it.

And somewhere, they relate to Sai, root for her....although the circumstances are too exaggerated.

Another significant reason - Ghum has no competition - currently all shows are bad.
