Netherlands won by 5 wkts. The group is now wide open. Netherlands are sitting pretty with two wins but they have Sri Lanka next. Speaking of the Asia Cup champions, both their remaining games are must-win, and Namibia have a relatively easier final game against UAE. Although this format is totally unpredictable. As it stands, a three-way tie is imminent and at the moment, Namibia's net run rate holds them in good stead. All that could change of course, if Sri Lanka can win big against UAE in the second game of the day that's not far away. But will UAE change the script
Netherlands IMO are in the worst position of the three thanks to their poor NRR- they should've chased down both targets better.
Could almost say this win over Nam is inconsequential- they will have to beat SL anyway.
SL (0.600) will 99% beat NL (0.149), and a win by any margin will put them above NL on NRR.
Namibia have the luxury of playing UAE last, and on paper, should beat them.
IMO SL and Nam will qualify, and NL will go home because of poor NRR.
The most disappointing players for NL have been Tom Cooper and Colin Ackermann- both are theoretically their best batsmen, and are genuinely capable of dominating good attacks, but have been very ordinary in the tournament. If one of them fires, they have a chance against SL, otherwise it's pretty much curtains IMO.
