Is satyawati positive or negative?

I have been thinking about this for sometime and generally in serials there is always 1,2 characters in the sasural who will make her life hell. Initially I thought that character was going to be priya but as the days are passing I have a feeling ki it's going to be satyawati who will have a problem.

I have a couple of reasons for thinking this

1) she never says the problematic things in front of dev which is why most of us are unclear about how much dev knows about what happens in the house.

2) it is weird why dev being the person who is incharge of the office doesn't even consider himself the real head and thinks his brother deserves that chair when his brother hasn't really been shown having any interest. Kahi aisa toh nh ki satyawati wants only her son to inherit the property, that would explain why she wants dev to settle with amba or somebody older. I am sure she will have a problem with vidhi and dev not because of the age gap but perhaps because dev could have a higher chance of having a family which will inturn make his son not the sole heir to their property.

3) we hear how dev has been working since he was 15 and he was the head of the family from such a young age. As far as I assume nahi saryawati uneducated hai na hi dev ki family itni poor thi ki apne 15 saal ke baccho ko business takeover krna para. Satyawati could have been the adult to take care of the family instead of making dev take all their load at such a young age.

4) satyawati is way too nice to dev and is always talking about how much dev did for them and stuff. I am yet to see her doing something worthwhile.

As I said vidhi won't just be the storm that might start dev's love life, she will also be the storm that will force her to see the real nature of his family and he might start to think of himself for a change.

That's exactly the case I think! Dev will likely have his own children if he gets married to Vidhi, potentially taking away the larger share of the property. If Satyavati was so good, she wouldn't have allowed Dev to sacrifice himself and his entire life like this in the first place.

How did she even allow her own son to get married when the elder brother was still single and shouldering all the responsibilities?

thats so great you wrote abt Satyawati... i hav my doubts her on any side of the coin positive or negative.. for me she is the coin thats flipped but came back and stood on its side.. and now based on the person/situation/benefits around it wil decide on which side to fall.

thats what i hav observed abt her... i hv more to share that ill write in a while.

Woh hota hai na kuch chars starting mein ek dum positive dikhate hain, phir age ja ke woh negative nikalte hain, goodness ka bs natak kar rhe hote, waise vibes ati hai mujhe satyawati se. 😕

Zyada meethe logo se mujhe darr lagta hai so Satyavati can go either way but the actress playing Satya says she has been offered a positive role so let's see. Mujhe ye bhi tension hai ki ek Satya hi to hai jiske saamne thoda sa open up hota hai Dev nhi to kissi se bhi kuch share karne se pehle sau baar sochta hai.

what you are saying is quite plausible, but I hope it does not turn the typical way. The actress playing the character has been saying its a positive character. If turns negative for trp, then it will be disappointing.

honestly uska jo bakwas thinking hai she is already a negative character for me. Toh mujhe moti problem nh hai. I would be more disappointed if they deliberately try to make priya negative even though her demands so har has been fair and just.

Same here. Which is why I wrote a similar post just some time back. I don't know how the show-makers are going to take forward her arc, but I have some interesting ideas...in which she will get the shock of her life for her regressive, pathetic views. I so much want this character to be negative. Not Amba. Not Priya. But Satyavati. But the relevation of Satyavati being evil/greedy/selfish should happen towards the end. She should keep up the garb of being a good, loving mother for now. At least these are my thoughts.
