Massive smiles in the blue camp as they win the series 2-1. SKY! Gee, what a revelation he has been. And that intent in the partnership with Virat was what sealed the deal for India. Wickets fell, but both batters didn't budge. Their post-powerplay game was top notch as they ensured a boundary almost every over to keep the run rate in check. And with some of his outrageous shots, SKY brought the run rate down in a hurry. Cam Green was Australia's best bowler. Troubled the batters with pace, bounce, forced some mishits, but Australia didn't give him the fourth. Hazlewood broke SKY's stand with Virat and Australia came back a bit but with wickets in hand and hitters left, it was India's game, although they would have wanted to finish this better.

Virat Kohli - That's why I'm batting at 3, giving the experience to the team (at that position). Surya was batting really well, I turned around to the dug-out, KL and Ro both asked me to continue batting (and bat for a long time), he has the game to bat under any condition (on SKY), he batted beautifully in the Asia Cup. He's striking the ball well, this is the best I have seen him for the past 6 months or so. He's got the gift of timing and I was in awe watching him play his shots. He was trying to control my scoring rate (on Daniel Sams), so I was standing outside leg and trying to use that off-side area. I was a tad disappointed at having taken a single after a six, but it was an important strike (on that first-ball six in the 20th over). We were a tad disappointed at not having kept our required rate to around 4-5 runs for the last over, so it was important to get a boundary early on. I'm happy with my contribution to the team, I took a break, went back to the nets, worked hard on my fitness and think it's coming off well. I want to keep contributing and doing my best for the team.

India continue to surge and they will be so happy with this win. Not because they won, but because they overcame tough scenarios. Green started off like a train, then India came back with wickets. Then the late flourish, but Harshal bowled a superb last over. The start of the chase was excellent but with Rahul and Rohit falling early and Australia bowling thunderbolts, Kohli and SKY had to bide their time, yet collect the runs, which they did. SKY, in particular, was unstoppable and once he got out Kohli took over. Both batters got to a fifty and in the end, it was Pandya, who kept his calm. Having said that, Australia were relentless on a belter of a surface bowling those hard lengths. A word on Green, who was absolutely superb with both bat and ball.
