I think that is exactly what they are trying to do.. if you have been following the show, they have very clearly shown a slow but steady growth in Vidhi. She was an extremely under confident girl. Now she has stood up to people in office, given presentations, fought goons, over come her fear of dogs and the list goes on. Her mother has constantly highlighted how Dev has been a positive influence.

I had shared your thoughts initially, i thought her acting and way of behaviour was too childish, but my opinion has changed. Dumb is really a strong word and she is not that imo. If you have heard her dialogues she speaks some really deep profound things which even amazes Dev. She is a graduate n has been smart enough to make people like Yogesh n Kanika sweat- and they have been duping Dev so far.
