the Sairat of yore is already destroyed sadly. its happened steadily despite us trying our best to prevent it by protesting , giving feedback etc. Him facing off with gulab or JM or anyone else, being nice to Savi/Vinu, UM or villagers, and maintaining decorum in public do not speak to his love, his commitment to Sai. He has zero introspection - and therefore it seems unlikley to me that he will ever understand Sai or her POV. He is only interested in self pity and worse- PP gratitude and PP appreciation. The latter is mindboggling to say the least. Did he hit his head and develop amnesia about what pp did?! Atleast if it was only his ego, self pity, he'd be totally tolerable because if he had lived alone and grieving, audience would sympathize with him but now with PP in picture- none of his supposed "redeeming" stuff like being a "good" police officer (he never works but whatever!), FBs of him being drunk in grief or going on suicide missions, or adopting a disabled orphan child who will end up being vinu by pure chance/luck, or never having sex with PP- these are completely irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.
they have a small chance of still getting a little mojo back IF they show him have some realizations and major GUILT while he is in Kankauli seeing Sai's life and hearing about her, her past and her struggles and also getting re-attracted to Sai's righteousness, fierceness and goodness that he has forgotten. I really want him to be reminded of everything he said/did to Sai before her presumed death that led her to going away. She wasnt gone out of her own will or choice, she was forced into doing so out of sheer desperation, fear, pain, hurt and legitimate anger. And its amazing how NOT ONE person remembers WHY she left!
Post leap initially Virat thought Sai is dead and she thought he has forsaken her. But now since both have come face to face, they are angry at each other. Sai thinks Virat has moved on (has a wife and a kid), Virat is just angry because all these years she was alive and didn’t bother to inform.I have one question. The guy goes and hits the person who badmouthed his wife. Why can’t he open his mouth and ask who savi is? These two are coming across very egoistic.
They don’t believe that the other can be loyal to them and love them! Why? Where has the confession gone?! Into the drain obviously 😏
So, there is anger and little bit of ego from both their sides to not reveal their side of the story.
