Yay! It opened at 30+ crores just asbInhad predicted!

I knew it would open big. Just like I had said in a previous topic, I have seen actual ground level buzz for this film..so I was actually laughing when people were saying it wont even open to 15 crores. I may not be a trade analyst or expert on BO but I get the vibe when a film actually feels like it will do well.

Also, the credit for the opeomg should go to Ranbir, Alia as well as Ayan. I have friends who have been sure that the movie can't be bad as it is Ayan Mukherji's directorial, and they have loved his previous films so had a firm belief on him. Even I was shocked to see that Ayan has fans too..but was also happy! Also I saw the audience first show reviews where they were saying they went to see the ffilm for RanAlia..so no you can't deny their pull, however small it maybe.

Anyways, happy for the entire team! I am expecting collections to rise and rise over the weekend..feel like Sunday will be 40cr+ 🥳 I am amazed that few of my friends living in Bangalore and Mumbai have gone for late night shows of Brahmastra!!

I’m sooooo happy!!!!😭😭😭 People have been so toxic and cynical in regards to anything Ranbir-Alia related. All of the unwarranted hate just increases my desire for Brahmastra to be a monstrous success!!!!

But, You did say to @Hasini009 that it will break records of KGF2 and RRR, if I recall correctly you two were betting and she said you wouldn't watch the movie if it doesn't break the record of these two films, to which you replied that you can't do it as you are going FDFS

Same!! Couldn’t agree more here! That hate and negativity/nit picking - towards Alia/RK in this forum is on another level.

Just for that reason I wanted it to perform well 😆

The movie can do better or worse from here which doesn't concern me as a viewer but its interesting how everyone is acting like the numbers are good after we have seen how audience reacts to big budget event films from South India, since when it is a GOOD thing for a Bollywood movie to open like this?

I don't dislike Ranalia but I don't get this celebration because everyone knows the budget is huge and you have to recover the most of it in your first week

I didn't say that. The bet was that If the movie did well on the first day, Hasini will go and watch the film. The opening is nice. The movie did do very well. It was never about definitely breaking RRR and KGF2 s records.

I never said that it would break KGF2 and RRR s records definitely. I was hoping for the best. I knew it would do well but not more than the other two movies.

RRR came after bahubali parts 1 and 2. Rajamouli was already a brand

KGF 2 came after KGF1

While Brahmastra is just the introduction to the trilogy. Still it managed to achieve great number . 45 cr is no joke.

KGF part 1 which was an introduction to the KGF brand opened at 25 cr

Brahmastra trilogy s first film is estimated to open at 40-45 cr. Even bahubali 1 was in the same range.

So yes, the numbers are pretty good
