Sri Lanka's renaissance in the Asia Cup continues as they once again show how good they can be while chasing. In all fairness, this chase was nowhere as daunting as the previous three, but they were still in a spot of bother with two early wickets. They also lost DDS in the fifth over, but the experience of that middle-order just calmed things for them. Nissanka held fort to score a 50, while Bhanuka Rajapaksa countered by playing his shots against the spin, before skipper Shanaka once again played a vital cameo lower down the order. He continued stay till the end, but new man Hasaranga needed just three balls to finish off the chase. A spirited bowling performance from Pakistan, but the rustiness of their two new bowlers - Hasan Ali and Usman Qadir, was clearly visible. They were the only two bowlers who went at over eight an over, and while chasing just 122 that's too expensive. A good learning experience for both sides before they meet again for the all important final.

Pathum Nissanka: Because of the three all early wickets it gave me the allowance to play my natural game and see the team over the line. Although there was extra pace from the Pakistan bowlers, I backed my skill and knew what to do. This win will help us to gain momentum and we are looking forward to doing well in the final as well.
