Sai vs V compassion and awareness is seen by how they both react. both are angry and upset but

V- almost gets in an accident with Vinu driving like a maniac, and leaves Vinu alone without a word said to him and had no recollection even when he calmed down a tad bit that Vinu would be upset and Savi the child ran behind the car screaming for them to stop.

Sai- is hurt but she is talking to Savi, goes to console her and even thinks about Vinu. If she thinks he is V and his second wife's son, she has not held that against the child- she wants to help the boy. She has kept her equation with Vinu and her duty above the resentment she should feel towards V for cheating her and moving on to another marriage. But she has not projected it on V.

That is the difference in the 2 characters.
