I really don't understand why marriage is a solution to every problem in dramas. Not only in this drama but also in other dramas I don't get why parents especially fathers want to get their daughters married off to just any random guy and not the person whom the girl likes. It is okay if they are rejecting the guy because of financial status, nature of the guy, his parents greed. If there is a valid reason then it is understandable but if it is because the girl herself likes the guy and it is not their selection then I don't understand why they do that. Ultimately they want to see their daughters happy. So at least they can give a chance to the guy to prove himself.

Here in this drama what is Ahsan thinking when he is forcing his daughter to marry Wahaj? Will she ever be happy if she gets married like this?

I just watch Sara-Zaheen part. I like how it is progressing.

Out of all the dramas, the worst was ishq hai. Iqra's family opposed her marriage with shahzeeb simply because Iqra herself chose the guy. There was literally nothing wrong with shehzeeb. Her family would have happily got her married to shahzeeb if his proposal came through an arrange marriage set up. The guy was rich, handsome, independent, from a well reputed family and already loves their daughter. What else did they wanted in a future husband for their daughter? Her father wasn't even ready to meet him and talk to him and get to know what kind of a guy he was and was ready to get her married to a random guy within days of him bringing a proposal.

In dramas as soon as the girl is 18, the only thing her family thinks about is how to get her married🤢. Marriage is the ultimate solution to everything. The obsession with marriage and divorce in pak dramas is crazy. Also they use marriage as a justification for extra marital affair. If a guy starts liking another woman after marriage, they will show him getting married to that girl without the knowledge of the first wife and then nobody can say he is a cheater. i have heard that in islam a man cannot marry second time without the permission of his first wife but in pak dramas guys get married for the second time as a surprise gift for their first wife😆.

Most of the dramas I watched/watch have father characters who claim that they love their daughters but when it comes to prove their love they fail to do so.

If you remember the dramas Pehli Si Mohabbat and Raaz e ulfat, the fathers wanted to get their daughters married to the guys who were widowers with children, if I am not wrong. How do they do that? If they love their daughters they should consider their happiness. Marriage is such an important part of a person's life especially for girls because they are expected to sacrifice a lot to make it successful. Most of the father characters are disappointments. I agree with you about background checking. Without checking the background of the guy with whom he wants to get his daughter married to is something I don't understand. That is a basic step. A father definitely does background check and here he is a business man he should think more before taking a decision.

Lol, even in Momin show, the father was hell bent on getting his daughter married w/o doing bg check on the NRI guy.

I understood Sara being angry at the start since she was going through a lot of trauma, but now it is getting really annoying. I am glad that they showed characters like the mom and Zaheen getting frustrated. They're doing their best to treat her well and she is taking everything for granted. I felt so bad for Zaheen when he confessed his love for her. Hopefully, they stop dragging the episodes so much and start to show an arc for Sara. In which afterwards Zaheen and Sara can team up against the 2 crazies.

In most pak dramas the fathers of the female leads are either useless or dead or will have a heart attack within 4-5 episodes🤣.

Most fathers won't even want their daughters to get married to a divorcee forget a man with children. But in pak dramas the solution to everything is marriage and only needs a guy to marry off. Doesnt matter who the guy is.

Father ky character ka mazaaq bana diya hai 😏

Not only in Pak, marriage is solution of every problem in itv as well.

Here no bichari girl.. our heroine is ziddi. Yes .. our hero is kind hearted but he isn't stupid and can put everyone at its place.

In itv the leads end up getting married eventually but it's not shown to be the only solution to everything. All the itv i have watched from start to end are love stories and the leads rarely got married in most of them. There was no marriage in kitni mohabbat hai S1, ek duje ke vaaste( the leads get married towards the end only), kaisi ye yaariyan, sadda haq etc. None of the dramas show parents being obsessed with getting the female lead married. There are a lot of dramas with leads being lovers for quite a long time before getting married.

Also most female characters will be of the age of marriage when her family is shown to be concern for her marriage or looking for proposals. Most of them will be shown to have completed college and will be working. They won't be 18-19yr olds like hala or still in college like ushna.
