National Treasure. Nepotism or not.

While Nicolas Cage got his break as a Coppola, I do appreciate that he changed his name to avoid affiliation. I had no idea he was related to Francis-Ford and Sofia until a few years ago. Nic cage has become a cultural icon, a meme, a legend, all on his own merit.

I don't get this nepotism debate now, all of 80's and 90' s was nepotism, even before that, ashok Kumar, Kishore kumari, shobhana samarth, nutan, tanuja, kajol, tanisha. and if people didn't want to see Tanisha, she didn't get Kajol's success. we wouldn't have had Shashi kapoor, rishi kapoor, shammi kapoor and whatever rk's faults with girlfriends and wives, he is a good actor better than all the outsiders stars we've had in the last decade. for that matter even hrithik roshan. movie stardom is very elusive thing, and we've had madhuri srk be the biggest stars for forever, because they had the luck and the talent, and the drive. it doesn't have to that you are an outsider so you have to succeed. anything is life some succeed some don't and many have an unfair advantage when they succeed.

Just like the same SRK fans who rooted for him and screamed that he’s an “outsider” in his peak until recently when his own kids want to debut ….and now his fans are singing a new tune. You’ve clearly missed the mark when it comes to nepotism, but I know that’s also intentional. Maybe Pathaan flopping will make you see the light.
