I watch atleast 2-3 dramas of an actor before i cut them out of my list and stay away from their dramas. Park shin Hye is one of them. I no more can watch her onscreen. I have seen 2 or 3 of her dramas and her acting is bad in all of them. She is like female Lee Minho. No matter which role she plays she looks and feels the same. She is considered to be beautiful outside Korea and not in Korea. She is also one of the most popular hallyu stars and since she was a child actor she is liked by Korean public. They have a special place for child artists turned actors. I like one thing about Korean audience. Even though they are very beauty concious and loves some actors for their offscreen personality they won't justify mediocre acting. They call out anyone who don't act well no matter how much they like their offscreen personality or physical appearance.
She herself has said in IVs that during her initial days everyone from the industry used to say she needs to have some work done on her face to look more beautiful but she refused to do so. She started very young and started playing female leads in her teenage years. If she was able to not come under pressure at such a young age she is really strong as a person. I appreciate her as a person but not as an actor.
oh ok. I rarely watch any drama from the first to last episode, unless its very good. I just skim them. I love reading reviews though
. Same with k-dramas and their actors, I just rarely know them except some popular ones. there are only one or two dramas that I have watched from beginning to end.
@Bold That's true. They have far better content than maybe bollywood. But, for that there is a high price to pay. They have the most toxic glamour industry. k -pop idols are literally slaves of their agencies who don't have a personal life of their own. Also, I feel their beauty standards are very toxic. Even the fans will go on harassing the stars if they don't meet the beauty standards, and it's not good for someone who already has an inferiority complex. No wonder most of the stars go for plastic surgery. But, I appreciate k-celebrities. They have to go through so much just to be there.
Oh ok I didn't knew Park shin hye also was under pressure. That's actually something worth appreciating
