Vicky and Parineeti deserved to win

I mean, I wonder what is the criterion for judging. They never cease to amaze me.

Vicky in Sardar Udham and Parineeti for Sandeep aur Pinky Faraar. Pitch-perfect performances.

Did Pari win the critics award or was it given to Vidya?

Female critics award went to Vidya.

Vicky did win. A critic’s Filmfare is still a Filmfare award.

I agree, but don't you think he deserved the popular award? I mean, that holds a different sort of prestige, doesn't it?

Don’t worry about it. I think Filmfare in the past few years has lost all credibility. First when Alia won for Gully Boy. I mean she is a good actress but for a 15 minute role??? And now Ranveer over Vicky ???? Whose film was neither more popular nor acclaimed. Whose performance even got mediocre reviews? I would have rather have had Sid win. At the least his was a good performance if not amazing one.

Vicky didn’t go home empty handed. So I am not bummed. But Filmfare has become a laughing stock ? At least SRK bought his awards for popular movies ? We have had the strangest winner in years ?🤷‍♀️

He def deserved the main award. Best actor and actress popular are given at the very end. Because those are the main two.

Don't care about the Filmfare awards....but Ranveer was amazing in '83' and so was the movie...too bad it didn't work....but Ranveer won it fair and square..👍🏼..haven't watched Parineeti's movie so can't comment...

Anyways , when there are several brilliant performances....there will be a difference of opinions....doesn't mean that the award was given to an undeserving person..

I remember the year where PC was nominated for Barfi...Vidya for Kahani...and Sri for English Vinglish....and I think PC won....and there was days of ghamasaan yuddh on the forum as to how one was superior to the other....they all were brilliant....and it all came down to who the judges thought was the best....didn't make the others undeserving...

Filmfare Vidya won for Kahaani. She has 4 BA popular awards. That way too much 😆

All except swades. Which was the only flop I think. That’s one reference point. Lamhe also won best movie despite being a flop. These are 2 instances of this.

Well, no 😆. I think Sid deserved the popular award.

I knew Parineeti wasn’t going to win. It was obvious the popular was going to Kriti. And if Kriti was gonna get snubbed it wouldn’t have happened for Parineeti.

Priyanka lost all the awards for Barfi. Those all went to Vidya that year.

These awards in two words “a joke”. So whom ever wins I don’t care 🤷‍♀️ Whether is fair or not rigged or not it’s just some trophy sitting on the mantle that u can
