The 3rd match of the Asia Cup 2022 will see Bangladesh facing off against Afghanistan today at the Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium, Sharjah.

Afghanistan is coming off a one-sided win against Sri Lanka in the first game. On the other hand, Bangladesh will be playing its first game of the tournament.

Bangladesh will be hoping to open its account on the points tally under the leadership of Shakib Al Hasan. Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Mustafizur Rahman, and Anamul Haque are among the experienced campaigners from the Bangladesh side.

Mohammad Nabi-led Afghanistan team will be high on confidence after its first win. Fazalhaq Farooqi, Mujeeb ur Rehman, and Mohammad Nabi were the stars in the bowling department for the team while opening duo Gurbaz and Zazai were the top scorers.

Another exciting cricketing contest is anticipated here between these two similar-ranked sides.

Afghanistan brutalized Sri Lanka in the opening encounter to win the match by 8 wickets with nearly 10 overs remaining.

Their team has the capability to challenge any team in the T20 format and will look to win this match and seal their spot in the Super-4s comfortably. Bangladesh on the other hand are struggling for consistency in the T20I format and will be looking for a win in this match to boost their confidence going ahead in the series.
