Faraz is literally one of the worst written male leads ever. No wonder they got a new comer to play faraz. No established actor would want to play faraz. Even asfand had more brain than faraz. Atleast he started seeing hareem's manipulative ways and trusted sameen till the end.

I no longer blame Hareem because no third person can create issues in a relationship if you both trust and regard each other with respect. A relationship is between two individuals. A third person can only enter if one allows them to which Faraz has done. The funny thing is,Faraz knows Hareem and he was initially the one to warn his brother about her to stop the marriage. Faraz has ✨️chosen ✨️ to trust Hareem over Sameen despite her warning him many times and when he very well knows how both these girls are individually. He has allowed Hareem to infiltrate his empty little boy mind with a bunch of bullshit against his wife and he ate that bullshit up without a doubt. He fails to have meaningful conversations and reacts at every single thing. His character is way too reactionary with little to no logic. A person who you have to walk on eggshells around at all times to make sure you don't upset or anger them is the problem in the relationship. Faraz is the problem. He will find a problem for every solution. He has thrown his wife out of the house umpteen times. He is not a good husband. I haven't seen him put any effort into this relationship which he claims that he has. Sameen is the one who tolerates his family and his abuse, does all his housework as if he has brought her as a servant, makes him chai, coffee, whenever he wants, tries to keep him happy, warns him about Hareem on multiple occasions while he sits there sulking, thinking of ways to kill the mood. The shallowness and bipolarity of his character makes him undeserving of a good wife like Sameen. Sameen is an educated girl. God knows why she can't get a job and lead her life without making her entire life about a below par asshole. Marriage isn't and shouldn't be the only purpose of a womens life. Get a job, find a hobby, and get your mind off of this abusive prick. Let him sulk in his own misery.

He belived Arif with whom he never even had a conversation over his wife sameen. He belived hareem who has been harassing and stalking him for years over sameen. Even the mother in law who openly showed her hatred for sameen is ready to give her benefit of doubt but not this dude. This dude is a literal man child with no working brain cells. Forget sameen he don't deserve any decent girl. He only deserves a psycho like hareem. Hareem is right. They are made for each other🤣

In Dramas they usually show Male Leads jealous and non-trusting towards their wives. I feel disappointed at the way Female Leads and their families are shown. Despite being educated and have a mind of their own they don’t have any agency. And the families are like ‘Achi ladkiyan shikayat nahin karthi’ And I am like what? If the girl is having a trouble in marriage then what should she do? She has to tell that to her family right? They put so much pressure on girls and guys literally don’t do anything to make the marriage work other than getting jealous and emotionally abusing the girls. Not only in Pakistani dramas but also in many other country dramas I get to see a lot of female lead characters like this. Especially when it comes to love/marriage she has to sacrifice a lot including her self-respect.

I felt that she was practical. Her family won’t take her back and there were no relatives who can look after her so she had to make this marriage work. Literally she has no other option left. And her decision was realistic. She being with him because she has no where to go is understandable but falling in love with him doesn’t make sense to me.

In asa thread we talked about this. Pak dramas except few like zindagi Gulzar hai, udaati etc are extremely regressive and highly patriarchal. Female characters are shown to be nothing with a male counterpart. In majority of the dramas they kill of the female lead's father to show her vulnerable to the society. They literally show pakistan is totally unsafe for women without any male guardian. after watching so many pak dramas i feel like in real life, in pakistan a woman cannot step out of her house without a male guardian and are doormats to their husbands and in-laws. This is how pak dramas portray their society to the world through their dramas. Zindagi Gulzar hai showed a single mother raising her 3 daughters and udaari showed a village girl with no education like Meera ending up having a successful career and looking after her entire family. But what does 90% of pak dramas show? A woman is incomplete without a marriage, women cannot step out of their houses without getting harassed, they get eve teased even inside their own house, husbands can disrespect, cheat and slap their wives as much as they want and if she is a good wife and a woman with character she will forgive her husband and accept him back🤢, a girl's character can be questioned just by seeing her talking to the opposite sex, in-laws can be devil incarnated but a good daughter in law is someone that bares all the injustice until the in laws change on their own one fine day, a girl cannot be trusted and she isn't innocent if she had a past relationship, it's perfectly fine for the husband to be mad about her past, a man can anytime divorce his wife and can have multiple wives even without the permission of the first wife and the list goes on. They literally make it look like Pakistan is a living hell for women.

Kdramas also show the regressive thinking and patriarchal mindset of their society but in a bad way and as something that needs to be changed unlike pak dramas that shows it as something very normal and acceptable. Even indian serials which are one of the worst in the world don't show women as weak as pak dramas. There are plenty of shows with lower middle class families without any male guardians. A lot of shows with a single mother raising her kids. A lot of shows with female leads not adjusting to the crappy behaviour of the male leads. The male leads are instantly served with a tight slap if he questions the character of the female lead no matter how much the female lead is attracted towards him or is in love with him. They also don't stand a word against their parents. They themselves will walk out of the marriage if her husband or in laws insult her parents or question her character.
