@Slowly: Agreed that we are all becoming much more self-centered and self-absorbed. Beyond that, I guess it's all just a gamble anyway. :)

That would be a valid choice over settling with Mr. Wrong. 😆

No cuz my mother once told me to marry a man who loves me more than I love him. Makes sense to me.

Love fades away. Find a man who respects you instead.

Man, your husband's really in the doghouse, isn't he? 🤣

True say. 😆 But that's what love encompasses in my books. Someone who honors your individuality + respects you as a person + makes you a better person.

Nah I used to believe in those fairytale love stories when I was single and had my own fantasies, but boy was I naive.😆

Reality is so much different and especially after you get married. Once the honeymoon phase is over and you have responsibilities and stress to deal with, the love turns more into compromise. That's not necessarily a bad thing if both of you are willing to understand each other, that's why trust, understanding, respect comes way before love because if you don't have these things then you can't even communicate with each other without one of you ripping the others head off.😆

Makes sense. Respect should definitely always be there in the fabric of the relationship right from the get go.

Thank you for these pearls of wisdom, oh married one!

I think sense of humor and knowing how to have fun are also equally important cuz I would wanna kill myself if I had to spend my life with someone boring. But what do I know, I'm not the married one here, so I'll just go with what you're saying. 😆

Well it depends from person to person and what their likes/dislikes are. The more similar they are, the more they will get along. People think opposites attract but that's only temporary.😆 Just like you like sense of humour and being adventurours, so you would want a partner who has those views too. Warna as you said, you would get bored of him pretty fast.

I was always a boring person myself, my husbands been adventurous. I married him thinking life would be fun and we would do a lot of exploring together. But what happened? He became even more boring than me instead.😆
