As I wrote a few weeks earlier in this thread, the problem was never with Soha. The problem lies in Basit. These days apart from in very conservative families, don't wives have their own lives beyond the kitchen and home too? He did not like Soha on their very first one-on-one meeting when she hugged that friend of hers. Fahad was right when he told Basit to not overthink things. That is how people interacted with friends. But Basit has his issues regarding women and he has been heard painting the whole of womankind with the same brush...that they abandon their families for their own selfish desires and wishes, etc. It is a very exaggerated sort of view that has come out of his childhood sorrow but he has now made it into a part of his personality, how he sees women. Unlike other tv drama heroes, he never showed it by badmouthing all his female acquaintances. With him it is more subtle and lies in his decision to never allow a woman into his life again, to never give a woman that much power over him that he might be hurt by her.
Fahad was counselling him to settle with Soha since that was a rishta that was on the table for Basit and due to the will, he really needed to marry quickly. And Basit had put aside all his reservations simply because of the constraints placed on him by the will. We see him time and time again hold back from calling Soha until he gets another wake-up call that the company might crash due to the cash flow crunch. But Soha was not helpless like Ayesha. She had interpreted Basit's approaching her not as a thing he was forced to do (Basit in fact had lied to her saying he never did anything that was forced on him...bruhhh!) but rather had imagined Basit was interested in her. Her decision to wait for 6 months for the course to complete was a perfectly sound one. She was right, they barely knew each other! But because Soha expressed her wishes, desires so freely, Basit had seen in her the image of Sadia, the woman who had abandoned him to fulfill her desires. Because Ayesha was subordinate to him in the company and did not voice her wishes openly, Basit had imagined that she had none. Basit has to learn that a woman is also human, capable of having desires, the wish for a life of her own instead of just being a satellite to him. If he truly respects and loves Ayesha one day, he would support her in achieving her dreams. We have not forgotten the girl who had been the topper in her class, whose medal had been sold by her mother to bring money into the family.
Fahad is a positive influence on Basit. He gives him good advice, calls him out on his weaknesses and scolds him from time to time when we know it is needed. But yes, a friend can only support so much and no further. As Fahad had said, taking care of his relationship with Ayesha was Basit's duty. Basit has to understand what is lacking in him and his attitude towards Ayesha on his own.
@bold agree completely. He needs to figure it out on his own .
Therez abs nothing wrong in having a life beyond kitchen and husband but it's all about personal preferences. Working , fulfilling dreams , being independent is most imp but equally important is raise a family if one choose to have it.
Basit wanted a girl who valued relationships . That's why he chose ayesha . Somebody who is willing to adjust , compromise and not walk away at the first signs of trouble . Unlike soha who couldn't value their relationship over her dream..imo soha was abs right In asking for 6 months but the fact is that they were 0% compatible. They wanted diff things hence she parted ways. Basit was wrong to not share the real reason behind the rushed marriage and she was right to call off the engagement .. Heck she didn't even love him..if she did would she do the same ? Walk away so easily?
Isn't this the irony? He wanted a girl who valued relationships but he himself is unwilling to let go off completely, surrender to these relationships or try to understand the complexities behind it. Basically he IS asking for a one sided love affair where he may or may not recipricate but she must . 🤷 may be initially or all her life..its a gamble.
Ayesha is ambitious, or should I say was ambitious but right now her priority is to support her family . When bano fills up for her , will she be willing to work is what needs to be seen . If she wants to complete her studies, well, she must why not ? Thy must give a positive message... He doesn't want a wife who looks after him and his home ,didn't he stop ayesha from doing all this ?
one more thing, soha and her male friend , in their culture it's always frowned upon..may be not in high societies but some ppl always look at it the other way. It's again how an individual perceives the situation . We may find nothing wrong in it . Exactly the same thing was shown in zgh where ..yaar ladki bhi yahi thi..ayesha Omar.. who played Sara..and our hero Mr zaroon kept on objecting to her way of life..late night partying , male friends, etc ..so yeah he was a self proclaimed chauvinist and basit is also one to some extent..
This isn't a typical husband falling in love with his wife story so everytime basit will have some issues ....he is a flawed character..if we don't want him to have those flaws , it's a flat story. He would make ayesha his partner in the office , get bano , Zoya married, fix an amount for qudsiya, have babies with ayesha , patch up with his mom, and live happily every after . That's not what we want right ? We can't expect a flawed hero to be perfect ..its always how two people find perfection in each other. (I read that comment on yt btw😆😆) ..I just hope and pray that they have a happy ending ..

If Mustajab had a happy ending then Basit will surely have one, I don’t have any doubts in it 😳

Yeah. Hope so..in one way a happy ending is very imp to give a positive message and reinforce whatever msg they were trying to give with their drama ..at the same time its imp to have a good & enjoyable journey of the leads and not just show them happy in the last 1 min 🤢 It happened in ishq e la..itne saare epis dekhe , only in the end the hero has an awakening and bam! Drama over ..I hope Habs is different 🤞
Something Haute review of Habs is out... More praise for Musaddiq Malek.
Starts from 32:01
Fuschia magazine review this week is more balanced. A lot of the stuff that we have discussed in our thread has come up both in SH's review as well as this one.. Starts from 37:59...
Ary digital has finally released the full OST video! Enjoy girls!
Thank you for sharing this! Overall I felt that this was a good review by Fuchsia. This is Basit’s journey of finding true love and healing. But they may be wrong about Ayesha “being normal” without any issues. She may have her insecurities. She also does not have her father, so maybe that is a wound. I hope they delve deeper into Ayesha’s life than simply showing her family struggling for money.
Do you think that at some point Basit will have a panic attack and that Ayesha will calm him down? I would love to see that.
Does anybody feel that Soha will comeback? I really don’t want her to but Ayesha Omer’s name does feature in the Ary’s youtube videos of the show.

So according to this a lot more crying scenes of ayesha are there 🥺
And one side hug 😳
The ost is good..specially the Antara...ye dekh ke I feel these r all in between scenes ...he is broken , she is broken ..his mom is one of the issues..what could be the others ? One thing is for sure , both are yearning for each other 💞 what actually happens we will see but abhi I feel both need to be a little stubborn with each other and not give up on each other for a while..
One time she leaves the house , walking on the road , he will bring her back ..the one in which she is wearing a light blue suit with printed dupatta n he is wearing pinkish t shirt
