I know I heard of Udham Singh through friends and how good of a movie it was. I watched Shershah when the news about Sid and Kiara breakup came out. Then I learned they supposedly fell in love through Shershah.
What is Filmfail? Is it like the Razzie awards? Razzies were founded by film students and Hollywood veterans. I’m not sure Filmfail is as “credible” 😆
A Gentleman was actually a good movie. I don’t care that it flopped. Hits and flops aren’t always an indication of good film or good acting. Judwaa2 became a hit. What else is there to say? Sid’s acting was pretty decent too. Definitely not razzie or Filmfail worthy.
Traction is gauged based on overall public reaction to a movie. Shershah definitely got more hype, more public appreciation, and more views. And the reason was it was a more mainstream movie than Sardar Udham. So I’m not knocking SU. By all accounts it’s a masterpiece. But in terms of popularity Shershah was more popular and that makes a huge difference with Filmfare.
Anyway, we are running in circles. You are convinced that Sid winning a Filmfare is a Bollywood blasphemy and I disagree 🤷🏽♀️
