Hi everyone,

I am not particularly new to the forum but I postvery rarely.

But after today’s and past few episodes I reallyhad to write about the absolute incompetent writing of this show. Today’sepisode in particular was so frustrating. To listen to the male protagonist’s viledialogue, the stance of the side characters…..was borderline triggering for me.

Now I completely get that this is a ITV showand there is certain quotient of drama that this show needs. The over the dialoguebaazi is part of it. But does it really need to be so vile? And even if it did, could they not have built up to it so that the male protagonist didn’t look like a massive narcissistic prick?

I get the leads separation is almost a must in any ITV show, but built up kaha hai? Three episodes ago (the freaking same day in the Ghum world going by the outfits) Virat was all apologetic realizing his own lapse of judgement. Now not even a full day has passed and he has gone mad in his stubbornness.

And I cant believe how anyone can write something so…vacant? Like if the writers were in hurry to bring on a separation track all they had to do was show a year or even few months/weeks leap and say that Pakhi (or her parents if they want to redeem Pakhi) was counter suing the family saying the family forced her to carry the baby. They could have shown Sai determined to prove family’s innocence (but let’s be real none of them are really innocent. In real life Pakhi would have pretty decent case against the family but whatever). But the family, including Virat, wanting to withdraw the case to avoid further beizatti. Virat would try to convince Sai that Pakhi had served a year and punishing her further isn’t worth all the hassle family would have to go through. But Sai being adamant about not giving in.

This way they would end up in today’s episode but at least this way the family and mainly Virat wouldn’t have looked like a total freaking joke of a human. Like how long did Pakhi even stay in jail? Not even 24hrs right? Like this is beyond pathetic writing. And all they had to do is put characters in new outfits, show that some reasonable time has passed since Pakhi’s arrest and add one dialogue that the family is being sued. And while Virat and the family would still be in wrong objectively, but I think their point of view would have be more reasonable .

I am all for drama, even the very high voltageones. It’s the main appeal of ITV. But is it too much to ask for some consistency in characters? Some substance in the drama? Some genuine disagreements with genuine points on both side that audience can at least forgive these character after they have their redemption arc. Like here the family and Virat are so obviously wrong and so so so vile that when Sai finally comes back to this house it will look like Sai losing instead of a happy reunion.

So yeah, I had to get it out of my system after today’s episode. Like I said last few episodes have been quite triggering to me; I am not even watching the full episodes just catching some clips on insta and even there I cant watch one scene completely without the urge to spit on Virat.

Exactly the 360 turn Virat took in his stance within a day is so indigestible. Plus the actor brings it so badly on screen that you cant help but hate his character. Some People are hailing today’s episode, but in reality it was one of the worst episodes of ITV history. Only Sai seemed perfectly right & relatable and literally no one else made sense. Now if they show Virat allowing Pakhi to raise Vinu , it will be even worst. If wanted to take this route then they should have simply made Virat the villain and brought a new Male lead for Sai, as Virat is certainly not just flawed, he is a full blown narcissistic abusive husband & now a father too .

What? Kaun hain yeh log, kaha se aate hai?

Virat taunting Sai for being anaath??? TF was that? the arrogance in this character. I ahve no idea how they will redeem him. Like i said now if Sai goes back to him, her character will be ruined because of that

Oh I have no doubt that she will and its gonna be beyond frustrating. At this point only thing she can do is keep moving forward. but its ITV and we know that she will come back to this awful place. I just hope that she makes Virat (and Kaku, god I hate that woman so much) cry tears of blood before going back. Unlikely, par sapne toh dekh hi sakte hai

She will come back not because she wants to. It will be for sake of TRP aunties and whimsical makers. How will makers run the show when fl is away from ml? Moreover, makers will again write a hollow story in order to run the show.
plus, they don't have guts to introduce against Sai. Because its only makers and Virat who knows, kon Kiske pyar me ghum hai !

I agree. If sai is coming back, she should make everyone beg for her to be in their life. Then also, she should take a few days to think. Let them all manao her

@Bold: What does that mean? Sai ko aana ya nahi aana will depend on TRP only na. everything is for the sake of TRP only.

No man, i am beyond blaming the trp aunties. I doubt trp aunties will stop watching if they showed Virat or any other character (apart from Sai) to be bit more reasonable. Again i am not saying drama should be gone from the show and it should become some deep, relationship analytical show.

Nope there is absolutely many ways to develop drama in a show. What we keep getting is plain incompetent writing. The fault is entirely on the writers and directors.
