He is being secretive but his intentions seem to be to protect his family from any stress, not to hide some guilt on his part.

The whole Bal ghar aspect seems to be a secret safe space kind of thing for him that he likes to go there to feel closer to his late mom and reflect on things.

He is on good terms with his step mom but I don’t get a friendly vibe between them either. A level of respectful distance is still being maintained. A sort of deference.

There were moments that were nice indeed but would've liked to see a proper follow-up of the apology lol 😂 .

I did kinda feel the step-brother felt apologetic but then his wife's got her own taunting habit to embarrass him. 😆At least he apologized for his behavior though he had somewhat of a point that there is a respectful barrier amongst his family members thus why Dev felt unaccompanied over the dining table &, as mentioned by other members, over the step-mother being oblivious until the news broke of his whereabouts. All members are busy in someway or the other to spend proper time with one another. The orphanage seems definitely seems more like a comfort space for him to feel closer to his late mother. Makes me wonder if he's orphan and was perhaps adopted by his father & 1st wife unless I'm speculating this?

I liked the Rocky-Vidhi-Dev moment lol. Felt bit comical 😂. I think Vidhi seemed to have a phobia of dogs (part might be from her character arc of feeling nervous and having limited travel even outside her house of which she tends to be confused about the direction).

Even the moment when D-V tried to escape from backdoor to road, 😂 . Lol, as you said, rich man issues indeed. 😆And the struggle to sit in the auto. 😆Lol, I liked the sharam ka poha dialogue by Vidhi. 😆Perhaps, Dev might really feel affected if someone tried to mingle with him on a personal front. Maybe that's why he might've questioned Vidhi as to what she's doing there and how she knows about the orphanage. Definitely thought the Dev's personality was more in consistent when he smiled over the split payment, him expressing his gratitude (over the woodcutter story primarily before he brushed off the reason behind it), and allowing Vidhi to don her choice of clothes. Lol, definitely Dev owes her the split fare and sorry. 😆

I felt bad for Vidhi's cousin who was taunted by Urmila. Vidhi tried to cheer her up.

Yeah as far as the theme of age difference goes, there are plenty other shows that have done this in the past. I can think of Kasam Se and one other with the attending doctor and the intern but I forget the name. I hope the similarities and comparisons to TPR are limited to the age difference theme and nothing more.

I think you are referring to "Kuch toh log kahenge".
