I was trying so hard to not cry every time Hala cried or shared her woes. And the way you wrote her lashing out at her father and somewhat on Hamza...my heart felt a crack.

Then your heart will break even more at the 2nd one 🥺. I wanted her lashing out, but not infront of the whole family, drama style. She can very well confront Nafees in private and Hamza's clear even in canon that their mess belongs in their room 😳

And I think it completely broke at Hala's loss. All she wanted was to protect her child and she lost it too 🥺

Why must you torture her like this? Wasn't SJ enough? I don't know what I want, but one thing is a surety; Hamza needs to grovel at her feet for forgiveness.

I'm not a huge fan of Rumi because she did let her mom blame Hala for her wrong-doings but this fic gave her a good push in the direction of redemption.

Rumi is just SJ's karma, no redemption of anyone in my universe, only karma 😈

Overall, amazing job with setting up the base of the story. I feel lied to when you said you aren't a good writer. This was bloody golden ❤️

Did Samina Ahmed give a spoiler or was it something she said for contextual explanation, when she said FS shed some tears in real(in a scene) and not just for “maa ke marne pe” on screen?

Hamza was missing at dadis last moments, so it seems she probably said it for context, the scene she's referring to might be something else.

And now coz dadi is dead, why would Samina know about a scene that probably wasn’t shot with dadi present (if words are to be taken in utter happiness as truth)
