I agree with everything you've said except the part 'not great music'. 'Phir Na Aisi Raat Aayegi' is a beautiful song from the whole album of the movie. Nowadays fresh melodious songs like this are very rare among all those remakes and upbeat songs.

Yes it’s in the movie but he meant organised religion causes malaria in general, not Hinduism .

Watched the movie.

It's Aamir's best movie after Dil Chahta Hai. Yes, even better than 3 Idiots. The emotional core is more strong here, and resonates with more authenticity.

Beautiful movie, with heart-touching moments, golden moments which will go down in cinematic history. Not comparing it with the original Forrest Gump, Aamir has taken several cinematic tweaks, and believe me, they work to make the film even better.

Aamir is brilliant, and Kareena is mesmerizing. One of her best performances.
