May be it because from the moment Dr. Khera came Ak was emotional overwhelmed and KV mrg everything just made her look vulnerable. So Abhi doesn't felt like something is off.

Since there's alot of theories are going around I'm also adding a new one.

What if dr. Khera or his sister is from AK's past???

She was away from home in last 3yrs and none know how she lived or what happens in her life. So may be both maya and AK were in same college and had happened something to maya and to take revenge dr. Khera came. Since Khera came only because of AK.

Or another theory some boy in AK college loved Ak but AK doesn't care or not know. Maya loved the same boy but he never gave bhaav and she tried to commit suicide. Now she is in bad shape so Khera came to take revenge.

May be Abhira separation or something like that can happen in a way. ak winning competition becoming famous and no time for Abhi. Slowly they grow apart. Or AK intentionally doing it because Khera said. Abhira fight and AK leaving to focus on her career in others eyes. Khud se khud ka rishta types.

Ps:- whenever Abhi praises AK Khera felt uncomfortable and leaves.
