I think it would have been better to have a few matches on Australian pitches just before the start of the world cup . On Australian pitches there is more bounce and the boundaries are longer . Plus we get to know who are in form and striking the ball well on those pitches . In shorter formats of the game and in world cup knock out matches , there isn't much room for mid course correction.

Pakistan I think have planned a few matches there before the start of the tournament.
