There is dialogue in Secret Superstar Movie..

" Are Beta Tum Jaisai Talent Bachche Hote Na Soday Me Is Bubbles Ke Tarha Hote Hai Aisai He Uppar Atay Hai Apne Aap Inhai Koi Nahe Rok Sakta "

I do believe in that... gifted kids will bubble up. They are hard working and don't waste time in talking nonsense... all the noice is made by people who are less capable.

Gifted people are like less than 1% of the population. What should the rest of them do to survive?

Not too long ago people used to proudly flaunt their connections and even the audience used to be extra affectionate towards them. I remember my grandma loving nagarjuna only because he happens to be the son of her most favorite actor ANR. 😅

When she first posted expressing her desire to work everyone read it as her just being desperate to work. It started discussions about agism, good roles for women, specially women her age, and character based stories. Those issues are still important and Bollywood as a whole still needs to work on these. But her case specifically isn’t as dramatic as we all thought so at first.

Look I acknowledge nobody’s life is perfect ..no matter how rich or privilidged…it won’t be life if it didn’t screw u over in one aspect or the other …

But I also don’t agree with discarding the 100+ things that went right for u and call the 1 -2 things that went wrong for u / that u had to work hard for as “struggle”

😆ya its a tough life. They got to figure out new ways to spend the gazillions they inherit before they keel over with boredom and lack of talent. Can't be easy, can it?😆

a generational shift has happened very rapidly in the past 20 yrs after liberalization.

we were a feudal society and then under colonial rule, the earlier generations even those born in 70s-80s were under that conditioning

there has been a shift where younger people from smaller towns have high aspirations now, education, english skills, access to information due to net and data and want to climb up the ladder and sre super confident of what they are

they dont have the revernce for the "elite" or old money which earlier generations had

they would rather worship a start up founder from a small town who has created a unicorn as they see a possibility of being like that

they are out of that conditioning, speaking a local langauge, watching indian movies is something they will do irrespective of what the elite think

kjo looking down on hindi speakers 20 yrs back would have meant, people not trying to talk hindi to fit in, now they will delibrately not talk english because they dont care to belong to that elite group

I like Alaia Furniturewala. My favorite star kid. She held her own in that movie with two veterans.

1 ya 2 generation baad, English ka eliteness bhi khatam ho jayenga, aur nepo kids ki pooja bhi...
