Not to mention that Sanju is a Raju Hirani film who has a 100% success track record with film directorial. Ranbir is overrated and over-hyped. Not to mention, they are desperately trying to change his image to a homely family man cuz the philandering cassanova is no longer working.

Mediocrity is celebrated in Bollywood. That is why the industry is suffering because it is so unoriginal. They copy shit off of other industries, make bootleg remakes, and then applaud their mediocre artists on "talent".

If tomorrow a film is made on Salman Khan’s cases, relationships it would be super blockbuster, because it creates curiosity level among audience 😆 Ab chahe actor koi bhi ho, jab ye pta hoga ky Salman py based hai toh everyone would want to see it lol

Never said that. In fact, quite the opposite is projected by Indian Paps which is the whole point of this entire post. When Ranbir has a success, they give all the credit to him but when there is a flop, the blame is shifted to storyline, screenplay, director, etc. When in reality, the onus of both success and failure is a team effort . The reason I brought up Raju Hirani is because the original post mentions Sanju where the success is also largely contributed by Raju Hirani and the storyline. Yet, Ranbir walked away with majority of the credit. Whereas a debacle like Bombay Velvet or Besharam was put on Anurag Kashyap, storyline, and screenplay, etc.

As for remakes, in the last few years, how many original songs or content has come out of Bollywood? Sure, remakes are a part of all industries but when majority of the content coming from the industry is remakes, there is a dearth of originality and creativity.

If this was the case then why not cast Aftab Shivadasi, Rajkumar Rao, Ayushman Khurana to play that Sanju's role, why cast Ranbir Kapoor?

Audience knew Sanjay dutt's history, it was RK which made it worth watching on screen.

Why did Sanju got big response having Star Kid, while Outside doing a same theme film(biography) is not even able to register any kind of attention from audience?
