At the end of the day when you come out of your 1001cr mansion you are going to smell the overflowing garbage bin on the street, sprain your ankle on the uneven footpath, break your spine even while driving ur AC car bcoz it fell (yes fell!) into a pothole and if u r able to escape all this there are always the jet black exhaust fumes which blow on ur face warming you up. This is the famous Mumbai lifestyle, sapno ki nagri BS which is sold to everyone. No matter how prime a property is no one can escape this in Mumbai. So then is it worth spending so much money to live in such conditions?

The real estate agency is a big scam in Mumbai. We sold our old house and were thinking of buying a new one so we visited many sites. One famous builder here Puraniks - went through his brochure. They are now selling 200-300 sq.ft flats in Thane?? Just build us those pods. Why do we need a living room or a kitchen too. A bed with a roof should do🤬When I was little I used to love gazing at the tall buildings in Mumbai, now they just nauseate me. 30-40-50 floors, tiny tiny tiny windows...its like a pigeon coop. They are everywhere now and all have those silly golf courses & swimming pools & gyms & what not while the actual flat is less than 500 sq.ft.

I was in Haridwar a few months back and when I woke up I went into the balcony which was facing homes....not buildings but homes. At 7 some had just woken up, some were on the terrace doing yoga, someone was walking their dog, a family sat outside enjoying the early morning sun....what do Mumbaikars do at 7? Most are already outside in a train clinging on to dear life. These folks outside Mumbai earn less, they may not have tall skyscrapers but i think their QoL is much better than ours. Even if u want a short break on the weekend you end up being in bumper to bumper traffic till u leave Mumbai...how can we relax then?
