I also like to watch light hearted movies over serious ones but cannot watch movies like bhool bhulaiya2 or pushka that questions your basic IQ level. Bhool bhulaiya 1 was a remake of a classic Malayalam movie and that's why it was good😆. Stree is a light hearted good movie. It has good storyline, enough glamour, good acting, good story and a strong message. Badai ho, mimi, bareli ki barfi, ludo etc were also similar. I like that kind of movies. They don't have larger than life setting but still has the entertainment quotient.
Most of the classic Bollywood comedy movies like Hera pheri, hungama, hulchal, bhool bhulaiya are remakes of Malayalam movies.
I watched Rajnikant's Movie which has the same story of Bhool Bhulaiyya .. it was too funny.. was that the original?
I know Priyadarshan made many remakes of South Indian movies , but didn't know they were Malayalam. I thought they were Tamil.😳
Hungama and Bhool Bhulaiyya were amazing. Heera Bheri was also good. Hulchal wasn't that funny. But it was good too. Stree is funny.
I don't watch Bollywood movies nowadays .. only watched Bareli Ki Barfi from the first list.😃
