It is too sad that Bollywood reduced its capabilities to depend only on few stars who can't even act. I don't really care about good acting if the actor is likeable and if the role suits him . my problem is with those nepo kids appearing in every role even if it doesn't suit them. Aaliya was out of place in Kalank. She doesn't have the grace to pull off a historical or a semi hestorical role. Even Vani who isn't a nepo kid but Aditya's fav looks out of place in the promos of Shamshera.. bad casting and favourism of some actors make ppl lose interest. I think Bollywood will bear more loses in this year and the upcoming years.😒
It's not like Bollywood lacks talent. The problem is both the industry and the audience gives more important to mediocrity than good content. Every one knows about a hyped up project like gehrariya and is more interested in bashing it over praising a movie like Ludo. Do people even remember a movie like Ludo released? Bollywood audience are equally to be blamed. I watch Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, english and Korean movies and I personally feel Bollywood audience are the least sensible ones. They simply follows what's fed to them and don't use their brains much. If 5 celebs of koffee with Karan says Alia is the biggest superstar in india they will believe it. They don't have the capability to judge someone's acting based on what they see. Also they have a tendency of following trends blindly. Now there is a general dislike for Bollywood after sushant's death and a general liking of Telugu larger than life movies after bahubali. In this dislike and like they think every movie Bollywood make is crap and every movie that comes out in Telugu are good. Pushpa is such an average movie with regressive content but people praise it as it is one of the best movies they have ever seen. On the other hand Ludo was a good movie but people hardly cared. They also make mediocre like bhool bhuliya 2 a hit. That movie is a joke on the name of horror comedy. It's biggest twist is a complete copy of a Korean horror movie and the jokes were so lame. That movie made double the money than stree and i won't get why? Rajkumar Rao is a better actor than kartik Aryan even in his sleep.
Korean and Malayalam audience appreciate good contents the most. As a result both these industries come up with different and unique contents. I am proud of the fact that I grew up watching Malayalam movies with great actors over Bollywood. Even after a lot of star kids coming into the industry they give equal opportunity to outsiders as well and the star kid with make it only and only if he/she has that good of an acting talent. If the audience won't like their acting then it doesn't matter whose son or daughter they are. They will be field out within 2-3 yrs.
The problem with Bollywood is people have to take what the industry gives whereas Korean or Malayalam industry have to give what the audience wants to watch.
