Do we need to include an introduction to the show and background plot of the OS?

The introduction to the show won’t be necessary, but you could include a note for the judges on which show and characters it is based on.

The overall plot needs to fit into the OS storyline itself, and the story needs to be completed within the word limit of 2500 words. You could dedicate a paragraph or two to the background within your story to give context.

The idea is that even a person who has never seen the show should be able to understand your characters, their motivations and the plot of your story, when they read it.
