I don't think there is too much kissing scenes in Turkish dramas. Intimate scenes where the leads will be in each other's personal space yes but kissing scenes not that much. It's only when needed. That's how it was in dramas i have seen.

Kdramas have beautiful well shot kissing scenes. They make up the entire setting for the kiss and the audience will be craving for it by the time it happens 😆. But it's still very clean. You won't feel the kind of awkwardness you feel when watching western drama kissing scenes while watching kdrams kissing scenes. I watch some kdramas with my mom and didn't feel awkward at all when a long ass kissing scene came in one drama.

I watched this scene without any awkwardness with my mom😆. This was pretty long and hot for a kdrams but eas funny as well.

🤣

The Dhoom tana na is better

Even in ITV i saw imlie recently and there was a confusion about leads consummation how did she end up getting pregnant without the deed

Mujhe bhi Feroze kuch khaas pasand nahi hai😎

But it's not like I won't watch a drama if he is in it kind of dislike.

Mr. Queen is definitely a must watch

For the sassy queen and confused king romance

I feel like they can use music to convey the feelings prior to consumation scene with slow closeups and shots. it can still be impactful even if they can't explicitly show anything.

recently watched this scene on regional ITV show here and it was so beautifully done that it had my heart. ❤️❤️ to give context, the leads are older (somewhere in 50s or so). he never got married and she is a widow and has married son. daughter-in-law is super supportive and modern and these two women share a great vibe. so now this lady and daughter-in-law work in the radio station. many 100s episodes go, the leads got married in weird circumstances but she never accepted the marriage. so they are still neighbours and over the course of 100s episodes, they have become friends.

in the scene, he gifts her some flowers and then backtracks that she can use it for pooja or whatever. because she left her lunch bag in the car (he was giving her a ride to work), he comes up to the office floor to give it. at her desk, she looks at the flowers, hesitates and then puts it on. there are a few tears as she looks in the mirror (who knows after how many years she is wearing flowers because she was a widow). he walks in the office and is totally stunned to see her (something he never expected because she has always maintained a distance). she just nods at him, takes the lunch bag, brushes her tears and walks away. he then just smiles really big and leaves. the whole scene is observed by the daughter-in-law who goes from being stunned to smiling with glee. all to a beautiful soundtrack that has lyrics about falling in love at a later age.

the english translation of the chorus:

"A mystical sea, flows through my heart.
Even in the silver lined hair, blossoms a warm love."

gah!!!! the feels. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

my point is that it is possible to do a romantic scene with just music, expressions and show love blossoming in such a refined tasteful matured manner. you just need the actors with a range of expressions -- even those consumation scenes can be done like that no?

Yes exactly. I think it all depends on director how he wants to shoot and show the scenes.

They can simply show it like how mere humsafar showed it. Nothing indecent at all for pak tv and made the point crystal clear as well.
