Maybe Ak will teach him the guitar and that will strengthen his hand/ fingers - he did want to learn to play the guitar at one point.

I think he does not want to ruin the first teej festivities for Akshara I guess. But he should duck out and get the MRI done. If she is even slightly hurt because of his weakened grip he will immediately get it checked.
