I was skeptical. Despite glaring plotholes and silliness, the movie is enjoyable. Karthik and Kiara deliver good performances. I enjoyed their comic timing. But Tabu steals the show. How does this woman manage to steal every frame she's in?

I love watching animated movies. I prefer a good animation anyday over a regular movie. And Luca is no different. The animation is so spectacular, makes me want to go to the Italian riviera. The characters and the small fishing village vibe is warming. A must watch.

Stranger Things S4 (pt 1 and 2)

Although I enjoyed Stranger Things S2 and S3, I was disappointed they were made. S1 was a complete retro horror thriller on its own. I felt it didn't need to keep going. I approached Stranger Things S4 with increased skepticism. Each episode is well over an hour and I assumed it was nothing more than stretching the story.

But oh boy, was I in for a treat. S4 is to date the most thrilling and engaging season ever. If you want to stretch things (if we still want to call it that) - this is how it's done - tight taught narrative, edge-of-your-seat action, compelling character development, delicious plot twists, and that ability to grab - hook, line, and sinker. I kept staying up late because I just couldn't let go.

This season, creatures from Upside Down continue to traumatize and torment the citizens of Hawkins. Unable to reconcile the horror the town descends into Satanic panic - a mid-80s phenomenon where dungeons and dragons, heavy metal, and in general being a social outcast were considered signs of Satanic cults. Our heroes must race against time to save Hawkins but also save themselves from Hawkins's growing paranoia.

Sadie Sink and Millie Bobby Brown carry the season. Stranger Things has always been an Eleven show, but Max really gets to soar this season. She is the heart and soul. Yes, the whole show has a brilliant ensemble cast - but these two hit it out of the park.

The other star carrying the show is Kate Bush. She's not even in the show but her 1985 single "Running Up that Hill" is the foundation this season is built on. The show has always done a great job with eighties music but the way Running Up that Hill is used as an anchor is brilliant. Now at 63, Kate Bush has broken Cher's record for the oldest female recording artist to hit #1. We now have a whole new generation of Kate Bush fans.

Fear Street 1994, 1978, 1666

After watching Stranger Things, I wanted more Sadie Sink so I started watching Fear Street. Fear Street is a three-part movie trilogy: Part 1 1994, Part 2 1978, and Part 3 1666.

Based on the fear street series by RL Stine, the trilogy is a classic slasher horror flick. It truly pays homage to the genre with its campiness and gore. Sadie Sink is the lead in 1978 which is perhaps the best of the three as a summer camp horror. The third part 1666 totally throws in twists and turns that upend the initial narrative.

Definitely a must-watch for fans of horror.

Jayeshbhai Jordaar

A few years ago when social message dramas were in vogue, this movie may have been a hit. Today it feels dated and more suited for streaming. It is a decent movie with an important message. But it tries too much and relies on hyperboles. The movie could easily have been lopped to 90 minutes or so.

Major: based on Sandeep unnikrishnan life, who died battling in 26/11, one should know the story, intersting and entertaining yet could have cut 10-15 minutes there to keep the screenplay tight.

Watch it

Rashtra kavach Om : it does have better acting than usual movies like this have , action could have been more and better, doesn't let you in shenanigans,sanjana sanghi is not happening,ark was same as malang work for script nothing ouf of ordinary,but decent time pass.

Dhakkad : Don't know how it was a disaster, it's an decent watch,kangana and Arjun suit the part, screenplay could have been been better,since screenplays is nothing new,kangana is fine in acting, as she is great actress and this was usual for her.

Samrat prithviraj : why history can't be told as history why alwasy going basing on poem and hersy and changing real stories,it was strictly ok, language,acting, was not enthusiastic and it shows.

Anek: Anubhav Sinha forgot to make decent film first than getting his political point in the movie later, but that doesn't happen,the only interesting part was aido having role, even though she vanished by last 30-40 min.

There was no reason such a film would work,it s one time watch,one get bored for a long part in middle.

Jug jug jiyo: varun seem to gain in emotional scenes and weaken in comedy scene, star and storyline all is around Anil character, neetu does fine but her character nothin much was written in it.Also some concepts and dialoagues were not for family audience.

Bhul bhulaiya 2: not as funny as part1 , and Tabu plays a role she have done well thousand times before, climax didn't delivered

Saunkan saunkana: Punjabi movie glorifying polygamy , ammy and sargun i expect better films since I expect what they did them in qismat film series ,this was not fun and bad.

CBI 5 : the brain : Mammootty reprise his role in part 5 of franchise, though story is not continuing, i like police procedural movies and it act as same ,not loud or anything just simple investigation done well

Jayeshbhai jordarr : should have been 90 min small film, it get boring with same beats and terrible climax

Sarkaru vari paata : mahesh babu in his type of film , enjoyable with popcorn , no brain but fun time pass

Jhund : Ab sr still going great, usual street kids becomin national player type movie,could have been shortened, still watchable

Jungle cry : same as jhund but low budget shows

Attack : 2nd half is better though expectations were high, it should have been tight,and intentse, ai talking proves comedy some time.

Interesting and fun

Jersey : like it better than nani version,Shahid aces the role, film watchable if you have not watch the original

Fresh : enjoyable movie about cannibalism, women must watch it, entertaining

Hustle,the northman,senior year,doctor strange all good movies

355 : bad really boring

Morbius : really trash ,it's bad it's good type

Abbot Elementary S1

I used to enjoy Quinta Brunson's Buzzfeed videos. It is good to see her get bigger opportunities as a creator. Abbott Elementary is a funny and heartwarming tale sitcom about teachers in a Philadelphia School. It offers a critique of the dysfunction and corruption of the system but also offers hope through teachers who persevere through it all.

In any other show Principal Coleman would have been the villain but for me Ava Coleman is one of the best characters of the show. Can't wait to see what Season 2 brings.

A Teacher

I was very apprehensive about watching this show because it revolves around a student-teacher affair and the repercussions. I was scared that the relationship in the show would overshadow the repercussions and the overall message would be lost. But I was proved wrong. Even though it starts all hunky dory, the final moments in the show hit like a ton of bricks. Eric's (the student) last scene with Claire (the teacher) should be watched by everyone. The scene is written well and calls out the manipulation that people in power have on impressionable kids.

This also busts the narrative how a hot female teacher going for a boy would be every guy's dream. It's not. You may fantasize about it, but the trauma that follows from such a relationship would be lasting for life. You see Eric go through so many conflicting emotions, that takes him years to heal. And you see how the damage done is irreversible. I would have liked the confrontation to have been a bit more impactful though.
