The first series of itv buniyaad in doordarshan was more progressive than current shows of starplus...widow remarriage, religious harmony,acceptance of illegitimate child,politics of india....they portrayed beautiful...kudos for ramesh sippy and team.....

Recent ones include ye shadi hai ya saudha....and beta bhagy se betiya saubhagya say and another one is zindagi ek bhawar which is a political drama where the housewife of former CM herself becomes CM but at last she forgives every crime by her husband 👎🏼

Sitara tried genres other than saas-bahu...but it did not work...
