I think he might have always liked Hala growing up. And he started falling for her after seeing her innocence and caring nature towards Dadi before they got married. I mean, don't you think it's weird he didn't support his own sister when Hala accused her regarding the phone call issue? There might have been some feelings for Hala because of which he didn't question her.

....or this is what I hope happened because my shipper heart won't accept anything else

My shipper heart also wants to believe this❤️ Mereko toh lagta hai he likes her from childhood itself 😆 usne kaha bhi tha humko tum bohot acchi lagi❤️

I was also surprised he supported Hala in that phone call issue. He didn't like hiw everyone was blaming her and straight away said it could also be Sameen or Rumi 🤣

I guess he always had some unrealized feelings for her. He is always shown extremely protective towards her as well. Even during her wedding kaise lekar gaya usko saying kyun ghunghat palta🤣

But I wish they had shown his journey a bit clearly. We are left to assume these things. I mean the guy who clearly was uncomfortable with the idea of marriage with Sameen even though he considered her his best friend was all okay with marrying Hala who wasn't even a friend to him. They should have dedicated a couple of episodes for his feelings too. Iss Khurram drame se bohot accha hota
