My two cents about the end and the show in general.
It came as no surprise that Zarsanga was the actual murderer, not the Haji, but call it their failure to truly show how despicable ghag is, or my lack of knowledge on the matter, I just don't get why they keep trying to justify murder from the past few episodes by stating he deserved it since he did ghag on her. Especially since they've simultaneously shown a minor getting raped. Nothing in the narrative can convince me that a ghag is worse then the latter. But then the rapist was punished by losing his house and income and Hilmand's dad with murder. Also, why is the solution to this mess, getting all the women in the village together to justify why men shouldn't do ghag, isn't a more logical solution the parents of the girls not taking the ghag seriously and letting them marry whoever she wants as Zarghuna did with Gulmeena? If men use ghag to show their power, why can't women refuse to bow down to that power by not marrying them instead of going around committing murders?
Also, why do they keep trying to paint this super naek image of the Haji and Zarsanga when all said and done they've both committed a murder? I was just rewatching the song to get a gist of the end and Hilmand was in the jirga too, so I guess he'll show up last second to defend his dad's killers only for the Haji and Zarsanga to die of shame. The show is just so all over the place with its message. I get that ghag is wrong, but nothing can convince me that murder can be justified no matter how strongly they push that narrative. They would've done better showing the Haji and Zarsanga were flawed people tbh. This idealistic image they keep forcing even now just makes no sense.
