pick up is very indian english phrase, I use it the older generation do, my dad uses it, you pick your husband, wife, son daughter, it just means receving someone, and as you said treatly somebody gently and special when they are your spouse, or pregnant is just sweet

Thanks for reminding me how annoying Anushka is. God, she gets on my nerves.

She’s extremely triggered about something or somethings. My guess is she’s annoyed that everyone is talking about her shotgun wedding and all the other speculations that has come with it, and as PD said she’s also annoyed that people have talked about her disappearing for a couple of years. And somehow she’s decided to pick a fairly innocuous article to express her frustration at the general social media reaction to her pregnancy. I guess the irony of using the phrase “we live in some peoples heads” is kind of lost on her.
