A lot of movies show marry your rapist and it's practised in some societies as well. Other places they ask the victim to tie rakhi and make him "brother".

I say for once abhay should have just let her get deep into trouble. Then only some people have their eyes opened so she understands the consequences of her choices and learns accountability. Like i said piya’s stupidity is not abhay dependent even if u remove him from equation she takes stupid and questionable decisions. As for abhay those two moments are very disturbing indeed. That car thing and the one where he almost slaps piya in restaurant.
