Honestly speaking....I always had huge doubt on SAAKK returning. SP won't bring back a show which didn't have good trp though the online craze is immense till now!! If the channel was interested then...it could have shifted the show to OTT just like colors does but the channel didn't bother to do it! I have mixed feelings about this news. Yes she deserves better. But if this had worked it would have done wonders to her career since for most part she shouldered the whole show alone.
Arvind Babbal had directed Saraswatichandra , Mahakumbh, and some some web series and one more show on zee. I guess comedy is not his cup pf tea. He turned a light hearted show in to a heavy emotional one and changed Deba’s character.
Hope she has learnt her lesson. I want to see her in some good web series.
It's very obvious to have mixed feelings!! Yes,I'm happy that she would be out of this mess bcoz I believed she is not made for such shows... she is made for bigger things!! When in an IV she said that she has a web series...I was extremely happy bcoz that transition from ITV to web was what her calibre deserved.But I was extremely dissapointed when the news of mithai came out and that too with a PH whom most of ppl are not aware of and also in a channel which is underperforming!! Moreover the cast seemed to me a total let down!! If this show would have been under good PH with good director and cast...then may be it would have performed well.The ML neither have looks ...neither that spark...and neither knows how to act!! Sometimes good leads help a show to sail properly even other departments of a show fails to execute!! The PH needed to think that Deba's previous show had extremely talented ML and their jodi is a craze and he should have casted a ML atleast who could come near to that level.The thing which makes me sad is that this show has turned to be a black spot in Deba's resume which is not good for her!! A show being pulled off within 3-4 months doesn't serve well in an actor's career!!But let's see what's waiting for her, next.I don't want her to be in ITV...want her to be in web/films/having a singing contract!!
