if they've already started on the dress, and won't offer a refund, I would keep it. For another wedding that I'd be attending. and borrow my sister's or get another one that's ready to wear.

and this is why I'm the worst people to take advice from. 😒 but I'd start with asking the boutique what my options are cuz I have a wedding to attend in 6 days!

They didn’t mention the time limit on their website. I just ordered online and wrote that I expect the dress to be delivered by the 20th. They’re offering to refund and asked to select another dress with 25% discount applied but the dresscode is black. The only nice option was this and that’s the one I ordered (IN BLACK)

Like you said, I’ll stick to keeping this dress for future events but now I’m considering hiring a dress. I can’t take the risk of purchasing an expensive dress for it not to get delivered on time 😩

hmm, I'd take a store credit from the boutique if that's an option and keep this dress that you ordered in black. it looks pretty good and you'd definitely be wearing it for another event if not this one!

6 days is a super short notice ... renting one is definitely worth considering but unless it's a super high end dress, I would rather purchase. but that's just me! I'd look around elsewhere and if I can't find something in the next 2-3 days, I'd rent something .... as a last resort. 😆 but you do you, booo ... and I hope you rock whatever outfit you end up with!

My friend ordered 3 black dresses but according to her, it brought out her love handles so now I have these options as well. I’ll keep the dress from the boutique and will try ordering a dress for hire + try out my friends dresses. Thank god for friends!
