There are a lot of other more harmful things that are happening. I don’t see anyone speaking up about that. Everyone is wayyy to sensitive these days. Comedy is being able to make jokes about anything
of course they can....falls under freedom of speech....but will u like jokes made on rape, depression, cancer etc??

I haven't seen the movie....but is Kartik's character a mean and disgusting person....if so then maybe it is....supposed to abuse the kid......like in KANK...SRK's character verbally abuses his own kid and other kids...because that is his character was...Dev was a frustrated, irritable, annoying and disgusting man....so depends how his character was developed in BB2...
In real life I agree no kid needs to be called those names....
No, he is the hero
According o the movie, it is funny to call kids haathi if they're overweight.

I watched this with two kids (one overweight one) and the other one started to call him 'haathi' with a laugh. It was difficult to explain to the kid that it is wrong because he told us 'no it's funny'.. so!
fat shaming the kid was bad and I particularly didn’t like the scene Kartik’s character is threatening the child “jokingly” off a window that he’ll throw him down if he doesn’t listen to him.
Reminds me of scenes where abusers use such tactics with kids so that they don’t say anything to parents. Yeah I know it’s supposed to be all funny but to me that scene was problematic. Probably it’s just me.
I liked Tabu in it and I am happy she got a chunky role. Overall it’s a very average movie with a very silly plot point.
Ab mote hathi ko mota hathi nahi keh sakte... without some fatties getting offended
I saw the movie yesterday n kartik was scaring the kid by trying to throw him off the terrace . He also called the kid -suar means pig n other abusive taunts.
Child was saying truth so kartik tortured him to lie. Hero was doing it so it was shown as comedy if villain does than it would be shown as crime.
It's the era of Kapil Sharma becoming number 1 comedian on TV by body shaming, looks shaming, age shaming, gender shaming and shaming everything about his audience...
Fat shaming is good. Good going Karthik.
