Episode 228
Gang brings Manasi and congratulate her. Manasi says she knew that they would celebrate like this once they knew the news and that her baby is lucky to be born into this family. Appu says that they have some rules that she needs to follow. BS comes and listens from outside.
- Appu: She needs to rest all the time and just give them orders and they will all take care of the baby. Manasi looks at Amey and he says that he will care for the baby before everyone else.
- Sumi: If she gets angry at any of them due to the mood swings, then they will all understand it.
- Prachu: She is not going to work at all, lifting heavy things, doing chores, nothing. And she just has to tell them what needs to be done and they will do it.
- Appu: Baba told me that babies create a lot of fuss and don’t let the mom sleep at night. But she doesn’t need to that because they will take care of all of it.
BS thinks: It feels so nice to see everyone happy together. Before I used to get tired of all these celebrations, but now I’m starting to realize this has its own enjoyment. My wife has the talent to find happiness in the smallest things.
Appu sees BS and calls him in and asks him to say what he is going to do for the baby. BS says that he is going to sing, whenever the baby needs to sleep and Manasi isn’t in a mood to sing a lullaby then he will. Everyone agrees, but Manasi says only BS should sing not everyone (BS looks too proud about it). Kukki laughs and says that she is signaling towards Appu. Appu says she wants to sing for the baby. She says that baby needs to get used to everything from a young age so as they will get used to the good singing from BS, then they will also get used to a lil less good singing. Manasi asks BS to sing one now. BS starts singing sitting beside Appu, sounds like a father singing to a daughter, everyone gets emotional!
Appu says that we are enjoying but the grandparents are missing so she goes to bring DK and Mai. Mai is in her room with door close and is opening the trunk full of Avantika’s baby things and looking through when DK comes, she quickly hides them all and opens the door but DK sees some of the things out and yells at Mai for remembering people who are gone. DK says that he doesn’t like to hear her name in this house and he’s told her many times not to trouble herself with these memories. Appu comes and hears the convo and thinks who is this Avantika? Mai says you told me to save all the things from our first baby but DK says that he doesn’t want to see them in front of him or her either. Appu interferes and asks what’s going on and why he’s yelling at Mai like that. DK tells Appu to leave but she says no cuz she doesn’t like the way he’s talking to Mai. Mai tells Appu to leave otherwise the anger will be transferred to her. Appu refuses and says that you both always argue but this is something different and I need to know. Who is this Avantika that DK is yelling at you for her. DK tells Appu that she doesn’t know anything about all of this so she should stay out of it and leave. Appu refuses to leave and says she needs to know what happened. Mai folds her hands and asks Appu to leave and she hesitantly leaves. DK stops her and strictly tells her not to repeat whatever she heard outside of this room.
Appu looks at the gang enjoying from outside as they are taking photos. Sumi brings food for Manasi and Panna feeds her. Amey complains that all the pampering is for Manasi. Kukki says Amey should also be pampered, but Panna refuses and Sumi says Manasi is pregnant. Amey puts a pillow under his shirt and says now pamper me too. Panna throws a spoon on the floor and asks Amey to pick it up. Panna says that mothers have to bear a lot during pregnancy from the vomiting, mood swings and even the delivery. Appu is listening to everything from outside (guess she might use this to justifity her helping Mai later). BS is looking for Appu who is standing outside. Sumi catches him and asks him if he wants anything but he refuses. Manasi says she wants to see Amey dance and Shashank too. Khadus tries to escape but Panna stops him. Amey asks for Appu and BS says he will go bring her.
BS tells Appu that everyone is waiting for her and Manasi wants to see them dance. Appu refuses to come and says she is not in the mood cuz DK yelled at her. BS says that you shouldn’t feel bad for the scolding of elders. Appu says that if he had just yelled at her, then she would have let it go, but he was yelling at Mai a lot and she didn’t like it. BS tries to make her understand that they are always arguing and its normal. Appu asks BS who is Avantika? I’ve been hearing her name since the picnic but no one tells me about it. BS says you are new here so I’m telling you calmly, don’t ever bring up this topic in this house again and definitely not to take her name. Appu asks why and he says that there are some reasons. Appu asks those reasons are what I want to know. BS says that every family has some secrets and they should stay that way. He tries to take her with him saying that everyone is happy and she shouldn’t spoil her mood. Appu refuses saying that not everyone is happy as DK and Mai aren’t enjoying. Appu says that she is this family’s DIL and his wife. She says you all say that I am the salt in this family without whom there is not enjoyment, so tell me who she is. BS tells her to talk calmly when Kukki comes. Kukki agrees with Appu that nothing should be hidden from her. Appu asks Kukki who Avantika is but Kukki doesn’t say anything either. Appu says so you’re not going to tell me either. BS says that you won’t agree with me, but it’s not necessary that we be stubborn to know everything. Appu disagrees and says that she will be stubborn and won’t listen to him and that she won’t stay calm until she doesn’t find out who Avantika is.
Precap: BS asks on behalf of the whole family to promise that she would not bring up the topic of Avantika Tai again. Appu promises that she won’t bring it up in front of him! In next scene (which looks in reverser order), Mai is hugging Appu as she promises Mai that she will make sure she and Avantika Tai meet. DK is listening from outside.
