Pain Tolerance of Sai and Virat

Pain can be both physical and mental. Pain Tolerance refers to the maximum amount of pain one can handle. Though mental pain cannot be quantified or measured, the person can feel its intensity.

Virat has always been in a protective environment since childhood, having his extended family as his safety net. So basically he hasn’t been through any significant episodes in his life to really affect him mentally. Except maybe for the 2 incidents- Samrat and Paki’s wedding and Sammy leaving the house.

So now, losing his unborn child has created a huge impact for him because this is first time he has actually lost 2 close people in his life forever. Hence this huge pain that he is going through now, which is kind of understandable.

Sai has been someone who has a higher pain tolerance. She has been through so much mental stress at such an earlier age itself - from Jagtap’s harassment, kidnapping, Aaba’s death, her suicide attempt, endless torture from Chavannis , both physical and mental, constant torture by Paki and of course all the ill treatment from Virat.

How much pain can a person bear? Makers have made Sai go through hell in every single track that it is a miracle that this girl is still functioning normally. Its a wonder that she didn’t have a mental breakdown up till now.

How much more do they want her to tolerate pain? Till she breaks down to pieces? I agree she is the FL , but that doesn’t mean she is not human. She is not a robot, she is not a machine. She is a human being who requires support and love from the only person in her life - her husband.

Paki ko ss dene ke chakkar mein, they have created a Sai who is a superhero , who can take on any amount of pain, tolerate Virat being inconsiderate for the N th time and try to keep everyone happy , including the vilest of the vile Paki.

The firecracker Sai we all fell in love with was not a Marvel Superhero, she is ur regular next door girl who experiences pain and heartbreak like every one of us, along with being strong and self righteous .

Stop making her something that she is not. Address her pain too. Give her an opportunity to break down. Let her have a meltdown. And let that self-absorbed piece of husband feel her pain too.

He was so good in giving lambe-choude bhashan during remarriage and internship. What’s wrong with him now? Did he forget all that? So all his promises come with an expiry date? So all that lasts till the next round of pain that Virat goes through? What an inconsistent character graph !

Stop torturing us. Give us our normal Sai back, not this Superwoman. And for once, make Virat normal too instead of this inconsistent pendulum.

They showed her brief meltdown when she wore that chandan ka haar and talked about how she cant tale the accusations of Sam's death being her fault n broke down about being better off dead but everyone was SO thanda about it.

And right after that she has a miscarriage n shes back to being iron willed and smiling through it all. Thats too quick of a bounce back.

And V's pain is normal but far too amplified needlessly.

I can never understand Virat. Yesterdays dialogue was more anger inducing than anything. Telling Sai that will the distance in our relationship ever reduce. I mean Sai tried talking to you, gave you options. It’s him who is not able to come to terms with it and distancing himself from Sai not offering to share the pain as if Sai aborted his child. And the balls to make it seem like it’s both of their fault.

people are saying just like women need space men too need space. Please women need space meaning they don’t want to get intimate immediately after this incident and need time for it. Is Sai jumping his bones or what? Looking at Sai being with Sai is painful for him has only one interpretation, he somehow saw Sai as incubator for his baby, when incubator has no job there is a distance in the relationship , and only he has lost a child not them. This is what, his love amounts to is it. As long as he is not affected he will support Sai , but when it comes to his loss ideally their loss, he will hang hee out to dry like a child

Sai is not being a superwoman, she has no choice now than to hold on to what she has, cos she has NO ONE ELSE. She is burying her pain cos she is so scared that she will lose her relationship with her husband and the family that comes with it. She tells him she cannot face the loneliness, she can’t lose him and family. But what else can she do, she is trying her best. Remember what she told her aaba when Virat was angry with her, I PRETEND TO BE STRONG, but even I need someone to share my worries with, in the night I feel so lonely. The Virat who was ready to be friend for life as long as Sai was with him , where is he? His apologies seems so hollow . He just assumes that Sai is strong so she can deal with anything. Is the acting? Or the dialogues? I don’t know. Something with the way Virat is written and acted out is so unnatural. They should see other shows, how it feels so natural the way they are acting , the body language etc

When people use others goodness they aren’t smart , they are just vile.

Agree they have made Sai very robotic .. it’s difficult to connect with her .. I liked it more .. when she vented out her issues just before her miscarriage..,

Even after their remarriage..

The problem is virat has not made her feel secure zzz in her mind she feels this is a conditional relationship.. she was supposed to give heir to the family.. now she’s unable to .. this inadequacy is making her be even more stoic

She has nobody of her own to share the pain and that’s the truth .. she has realised it .. during the shruti track ..

I agree that they are making the circumstances such that Sai cannot air her feelings, her pain. She just has to move on.

The conversation of Sairat was good but not nearly enough. Lacked emotional and physical intimacy and was fairly superficial.

Right after he apologized to her for pushing her away, next morning he hasnt he gone to drop Sai at the hospital even though he usually does. So back to square one?! Weren't they gonna meet psychiatrist/counsellor/doctor person in the morning... So why show him chitchatting with pp?!

It looks ridiculous.

Sai told him she was upset by him going to another room but she cant force him to stay with her and he barely gave a reaction.

Thankfully at least he said sorry maine tumse muh moda and I did not share the pain with you.

I wish he had also said that even though I'm in pain now , I want to get back to being happy with you rather than being SO pessimistic in his body language. Its like hes going to the doctor for Sai as a chore, not for himself or them. Whereas he knows shes doing all this for him mainly!

I dont think Sai is robotic but she doesn't get the chance to melt down or air her grief properly. Its just glossed over.. her meltdown has already happened pre miscarriage and in the 30sec clips of her crying in the hospital. Bass utnaa hi milega.

I still connect more with Sai than V. Because Ayesha has been amazing in this track.

I understand V is very disturbed , not ready to.already plan another baby- all ok. but his need to stay away from Sai in a separate room and not wanting to talk about anything seems a tad too much. Rather he should be reassuring himself and Sai that they still have each other.

That too when he can see how much its affecting Sai. She literally told him - you are pushing me away. Ninad told him that. But he just acknowledged it but ignored it.

Logically it doesn’t make sense. They never show him understands Sai’s POV.

I understand that the whole premise of Ghum’s writing (Original-Leena’s writing) was that both Sai and Virat are not perfect and Virat is grey but still his love for Sai was never questionable. It is conditional but the love he has for her is deep and intense.

But present day Virat is so weird. In real life, no loving husband can behave like this to his wife after a miscarriage. The drama quotient is too high.

I dont know for what ? Trp ? Pave way for more Paki content? Forcefully establish Virakhi ? No clue cause it makes no sense to butcher Virat’s core like this. At least , Sai’s core is still intact inspite of a few slip ups.

Maintaining suspense for upcoming track is one thing, but this is just ending up as a massive khichdi once again . Too messy to even analyze anything.
