I have such mixed feelings about this.. but still have to say atleast they have tried and this can go either way. I feel there is a bit of miscasting and the vfx could have been improved but the idea is still pretty intresting let's see where it goes. WOAH OR WTF gotta wait and see. Though mouni seems to be still living in her naagin Era. And I personally do nit see chemistry between Ranbir alia in the film bit the mytho part of it definitely makes me interested

Finally aa gaya trailer.....haha man this movie has become a punchline for so long that it feels surreal to actually see the trailer now😆

I had to watch twice to try to make some sense of the "verse" they are trying to convey.....lol and I suspect the actual movie will be better than the trailer cuz they seem to be trying to pack a lot of aspects into it that aren't exactly coming through clearly in the trailer....lol for example, in the beginning AB voiceover when he's talking about Jal - they show a shot of water, then he says vaayu (air) and they show a shot of some kind of fire streaming through a big open field, and the agni mein they again show some fire shot.....lol they aren't being able to demarcate the elements clearly....every frame is basically just a multi-colored fire as per this trailer😆.....VFX deffo seems a little underwhelming for the scale they are trying to convey....but it's still not bad....the shot of the bull and then another shot of what looked like Hanuman emerging in light from someone's body looked good....but see again all multi-colored lights....lol I hope it makes better sense when it all comes together in the story.

Casting-wise I can't tell if Nagarjuna's character is gonna be negative or positive....lol Nandi technically is supposed to be Shiv ka vehicle as per the mythology. Mouni is actually alright for her role of villain I guess....she must have been cast fresh out of Naagin and well to be fair to her, her Naagin seasons are probably the most successful ones, no? lol

Ayan ke typical touches show in the song and dance and non-sci fi bits....lol felt like a hangover of YJHD in some bits of Ranbir acting happy go lucky....I don't expect his chemistry with Alia to matter much for this movie anyways....lol focus is more on the "verse" setup and action.

Second time dekha toh I realized there are a lot of secondary characters with powers that aren't shown clearly in this trailer....lol like the person with Hanuman rising from him didn't look like Ranbir or the other main characters....maybe they are saving that to reveal in the movie. I also got somewhat KMG vibes in some bits as Ranbir's character talks about "duniya mein kuch ho raha hai"....lol hopefully it won't feel as corny in the movie.

Overall yeah they've tried so points to them for that.....I would say they could have avoided terms like "astraverse" cuz that does put them in the wannabe zone even if they have a proper story to tell.

I guess it's not fair to compare this to Rajamouli's films cuz he hasn't shown full scale magical fantasy to this extent.....his characters are larger than life and do crazy action stunts etc but it doesn't go all the way into magic/sci-fi level....lol....Ayan ne hi decide karna tha to do this....lol hopefully they can improve the VFX in the subsequent films if they manage to make those....lol

Finished KGF-2.

It's more action packed than the first chapter with the stakes being raised for Rocky in this one. Yash clearly seemed to be enjoying playing the grey and flamboyant nature of Rocky's character....dialogues are all masala one-liners and worked well in the Hindi dub also.

The movie kept the action focused around the power struggles over control of KGF and that is why the screenplay moves as a brisk pace - never a dull moment. The action could get excessive for some people though I guess....I was watching it in batches so it worked for me.

The highlight of the whole series is deffo Yash and his mom's relationship and how it's woven into the narrative to explain what drives him and haunts him vis a vis his origins. His love interest waali girl was a total flowerpot....lol as is typical in South movies I guess....bas token tashan dikhaane ke liye thi in some scenes and baad mein to marry/romance him to show some break from the action scenes....lol

Sanjay Dutt was decent in his antagonist role....they cast him for his grizzly old warrior appearance I guess and it worked for that role. But Raveena was way more impressive in her role as the new PM who stands against Rocky. All in all deffo a satisfying masala movie. I can understand why it's done well.

Bookmarking for when I watch it but I have heard such excessive praise for Ravenna I am so excited to see and good to know she has a substantial role and she left a mark about time I guess since Raveena in her prime too was more known for glamor .. lol that love Intrest was such a waste of time in part 1 too and total forward type wali character even in that one woh mouni ka one remake song was more important and impactful than this..and thanks for egads up on violence yeah even a bit in part 1 was starting to get a bit urhmm too much esp the anticipation ke ab kya dikhayeinge extreme.. but I can deal with it..I am still stuck at RRR😆 But to be fair I didn't got much time to watchh ahead and whatever I has yesterday I started from start and then it got left again in forst part only though am living it it is not fault of the film that I am running around😆

Oh definitely noway can it be compared to Rajmouli's vision and the amount of money he spends and detailing..you said rajmouli has never done this level of magic/Sci fi I do agree woth it but fantasy he has done so darn well with EEGA and I highly highly highly recommend it the hindi dubbed version is called Makkhi it has Naani from shyam Singha rou in it as the protagonist and it is one of my fav films so entertaining..it sounds so wth to begin with but once you start you get into it and nodoubt it is a novel idea and a distinct take on rebirth and revenge😆

Baaki on this yeah totally yakeen nahi ho raha ke the promo finally dropped for this..I need to rewatch this too caz it was too much to take in this plus I do want to see the visuals ona bigger screen too bad abhi nahi hai available mere paas woh but yes polishing is needed they need to add variations and set the tones and colors Cleary about what element is what😆 It got too confusing too I also felt this needs an even better edit..idk but Ranbir looked kinda zoned out to me in some bits idk if it is supposed to be like that or caz he got bored as it was such a long project but Ranbir didn't felt like Ranbir to me in one go he felt like he is sleep walking in parts baaki you are right about the verse and the confusion in the promo too.. but I would applaud them for trying something so different that is so risky to begin with and sticking with it for so long

LOL oh I wouldn't say the violence was kuch especially gory that hasn't happened in other movies or shows before.....well atleast for me considering I've watched stuff like GoT and Witcher and usmein more graphic violence hai.

KGF-1 was all about Rocky getting to KGF and Chapter 2 is all about him trying to hold on to KGF....basically every 15 minutes, someone comes to attack him to get control over KGF....lol or he himself is making some grand plan to expand KGF....yehi chalta hai full movie mein - with generous doses of style/tashan from the hero.....lol.....action is one level up cuz the choice of weapons is more varied in chapter 2....lol....and locations as well. Chapter 1 was just mainly in Bombay or in KGF....while Chapter 2 has more locations mentioned/covered to show the expansion in the narrative given how Rocky is more powerful now with more powerful enemies.

Ok now that I have finished the film I can comment on this and woahh am like so so happy thst I did not play this when you posted this caz the surprise element would have gone but Oh EMM GEE.. 😲😲👏* GOOSEBUMPS* boy that has to be nect level of thought and then getting it to come through as epic as you probably have thought off is another level of feat..i loved loved it so much such main khade hoke taali bajane ka mann kia caz that was totally unexpected I was like probably gola brood hoga ya kuch but neeche toh poora circus tha snd yay for them for not compromising on vfx yesh one can still tell it is vfx but they have spent so much to make it look real and acheiv3d it for the most part

I am toh totally "bedazzled" and yeah the true kind of bedazzled by all the fantastic sequences and gow they were thought of and came together. The bridge one you mentioned was superb too and then the ending jail escape esp for the novel and unique idea of escaping on bheem's shoulders that was totally new and I am really curious to know how they executed that.. amd then ending bit main ram as ram yeah cheesy to think of and while speaking hit in the film it worked on whoke another level..i also loved the way they have kept the fire and water symbolism and imagery going yeah at some points I was like we get it but still they had such good ways to reinforce that .mannn I need a spi off of ram and bheem ki dosti..I also have to give a huge shout out for the songs dubbing and how they didn't sounded awful in hindi infact worked bigtime caz most songs become annoying in translation and are just wtf in the dubbed hindi but this was just so good even if woh doati wala was a bit too much😆 Yet enjoyable.. i swear this was 3 hrs minus song and dance the only song song proper song has been naacho naacho and sirf uske liye hi banda kitni baar dekh le..ok now I want the torrent but sucks don't have the laptop 😢 😫 ughhhh I want to rewatch all the Interviews and enjoy tarak and cheery's camaraderie . Also plz do watxh their episode of Kapil it was fab 🤣 .

I have to say rajmouli knows how to not make his films look same man such different films hr has made and this was totally different then what he did with ram in magdheera.. ughhh ok I am kinda of having a big time crush on ram again 😆😆🙈🙈🙈 and tarak as a softie bheem omg gube him a bear hug..Alia didn't had to do much yet she played a key role and it was ok fine nit much acting required either I am just hap9y they didn't ghussao forced lovestoroes in between it was in bg side main esp gori and bheem Ki..ughhhhh damn it now this is bloody stuck in my mind

Also I found this and wow just wow esp the whoke scene breakdown video but thisnoen like rajmouli's usual showered of his films I wish they would put more making vids.. but the glimpses they released during baahubali times were also so good and intresting so is this but too short one need to watxh ice and over to get a gosh but I also like this rap in this video.

https://youtu.be/bHRgafXfHW0

And the train scene breakdown likensheer brilliance the amount of detailing in vfx for one sequence and the effort 👌
