I don’t think he’ll flip - that’s why this agreeing to go back without meeting Gungun doesn’t make sense. My guess is Akriti will tell him that Gg went back to Lucknow, so he’ll go back as well. That’s why I’m surprised that GC gang won’t give him the correct version.
