You can’t spend an entire session defending SRK and still don’t get it . It doesn’t matter how “assimilated” you are. Did SRK being the version of ideal Muslim/ culturally assimilated stop the right wing apparatus from targeting him or his family by extension? Or did Jewish people in US being assimilated stop the US right wing from invoking Soros or other blood libel accusations on how Jews are secretly controlling the US government ? You know what? That still doesn't entitle Jewish people in the U.S. or Muslims in India to special treatment.

I defend SRK as a human. Not as a Muslim or a celeb. I might defend him against attacks which happen because he's a Muslim. But that doesn't mean I'm suporting him blindly because he's muslim. Which is what you seem to demand.
