TBH, ab tak jo 2 promos release hui hain, technically I liked them because OTT nahi tha. Both Niyati and Karan were in their elements.

That's totally true. Both Niyati and Karan were in their elements and it wasn't OTT. Sometimes, shows do go OTT when they show such stuff but I was happy to see that they didn't go OTT.

And as you said, the second promo gave me more of Piya vibes than Aru. Because Aru was ambitious. Piya was more about loneliness and doing good for others. With the FL's ideology and attachment to her dad, she didn't look that ambitious to me.

Precisely. The second promo gave more of Pia's vibes than Aru. She gave me a glimpse of Aru when they showed her dedication towards her dhaaba.

And about the ML, I most certainly want to thank the makers for not showing him to plan and plot ki isne meri proposal thukrayi hain to badla lunga types of cliche. So I guess, making wise it has the potential to be a feel-good show until negativity creeps in. 👍🏼

Although frankly speaking, I am absolutely NOT pinning any hopes on them for not showing anything cliche or not ruining the ML in the future... As of now, the promo does give a vibe that it has the potential to become a feel good show but I won't be surprised if they bring all the cliche hate-love, third angles and whatever here.

Let's see how does this show fare... Though frankly, I have less hopes with regards to trp because Star Bharat (and Sony SAB and & TV too) shows always fetch low trps as compared to other channels.

It's funny because. my parents used to watch "Jol Nupur" on which GSMI is based and that in my opinion was one of the most convoluted and negative shows I have ever come across. Now that I watched the first few episodes, I'm already crying internally that such a good ML might eventually be turned into a pathetic character. 😭

Frankly speaking, I was initially interested in the show but then again, my interest waned out. Also, one video of the show that I happened to watch on insta gave me sorta 'Tamarind' vibes so I decided against watching the show.

Honestly speaking, since I checked the last week's TRP, I won't be surprised if Star Bharat itself gets closed because 0.1 TRP for all the shows and 0.2 for only two - I am not sure how they are planning to keep the channel opened.

And unfortunately, zyadatar time aisi situation pe overnight plot ki change kia jata hain and recent trends, third angles etc etc ko introduce kia jata hain jo actual mein show ka aur kabada kar deti hain.

To woh ek tension hamesha rahega. Plus, for some reason I'm not interested in this show, even though it has Niyati.

Waise bhi, ek time pe ek hi show enough hain and I'm already watching GSMI so...

I get that. Initially mujhe interesting laga tha because as cliche as it is, for some reason love stories set in the backdrop of hilly regions attract me a lot. Blame it on the movie "Taal" or some of the native movies in my country, the cultural shock, and social opposition make much sense in these cases.

Rest, even though I hadn't watched Pankhuri's earlier shows, the amount of bashing she received during YRKKH phase, I was happy that she got a lead role.

But my enthusiasm went out of window when I heard the name of the leads and then read in WiKi that it's indeed an adaptation of "Jol Nupur".

It was a clip in IG where I really liked Pankhuri's acting and started watching it.

Tamarind's reference is obvious. 🤪

In fact, I have read comments regarding the same. But what I did find a bit refreshing that unlike Aditya, Neil here doesn't blame Kaju. In fact, he had left the place before their video got viral and then returned on his own will realizing people would kill Kaju if he didn't return.

To yeh ek point bohut accha laga mujhe. 👍🏼

And the second one is his clarity. Unlike Anirudh in BB, he doesn't believe he's doing the world a favor just by breathing. 🤬

He was courting another girl for six months and informed her about everything, including the part where he might be required to get married to Kaju and he would certainly do it if it came down to that.

To yeh do cheeze hain jo bohut accha laga. 👏

And I think they have changed the characteristics of Neil from the original because I started watching midway and he seemed a bit serious. Here Neil is more fun-loving. Even they changed their profession.

Pari is another up-gradation since she was a pain in the ass in the original.

So I'm gonna stick with it for as long as I can and then give up. You might watch the first ten episodes because the cinematography was really good with the hills and rivers.

And the best part, here they had a CPR sequence, and thankfully it wasn't chula phukna. 🤣 🤣 🤣

So let's see, for how long can I watch this. 😉

Btw my girl Sayli finally got a lead role, I know you would say ph is mess. But am grateful for the PH to give her a lead role!! You would have seen promos, kaise lage. I did like the aquarium one more.

I know Razia Sultan and Amla has a separate FD but none of them was TRP topper. To iss hisab Se kaha ki Thoda Kam popular hain.

You know, jab main pehli baar Nazar dekhna start kia, uss waqt lagta tha ki Gul's speciality is cinematography as Ekta's is presentation.

It's after BB & KUDCA that I realized you don't need unnecessary grandeur or VFX for better cinematography. It's all about catching the right note.

Hasna maat please but when I started watching GSMI, I was like - saare paise to outdoor shooting mein hi laga dia inn logo ne. 🤪

But it was worth it. Now that they have returned to the normal set, it makes sense and goes with the story properly.

But Gul and more importantly Atif ke har show mein yeh zyada grandeur aur VFX ke chakkar mein ek normal cheez ko weird bana dete hain.
