Usama has done many bad projects earlier but he managed to make a good place in industry in four years. There are still many struggling to make that place. Usama won best actor soap award for his debut in Sanwari.. Also, he has not restricted himself to soaps. He made sure if he is not getting lead roles in big projects, it is better to go for parallel leads for better exposure. And many people already knew Usama because of those projects likeVicky of Ishq Jalebi and Affan of Dobara. ASA has definitely turned out to be his breakthrough performance career wise. Also, this is hs third project with ARY back to back. Mere Apne and Teri raah mein had one of the highest ratings when they aired, TRM had ratings of 8+ above mostly at 7 pm slot , even 10.5 ratings in one episode. ASA is another hit in terms of ratings adding the online popularity unlike his previous 2 dramas with ARY. He played lead in all three. So, he is definitely one of the favourites for the channel especially as a soap actor.
