Maybe he was already dying a slow painful death just came to know about the poison and brought his end quick.

Hilmand wasted 2 years of his life for this revenge and would trun out his father Haji Marjan was innocent all along his mother was the one who did it but she had a good reason for it

he could have easily confronted them
