Topics on religion and politics should be dead on arrival or move them to the dead debate mansion.
Seriously, it's quite annoying how a few members are always talking about religion. How Hinduism is in danger, etc etc. Like please go to a religious forum. India-forums does not mean only Hindus. India is supposed to be a diverse country with many religions, in theory, living peacefully with each other.
What is with this *insert religion* phobia...like please stop being so sensitive. Your faith and religion should not be dependent on someone else's point of view. My faith is not dependent on what you think.
And what happened years ago, does not define someone of today. You learn from the past mistakes to not repeat that kind of history.
I was born into a Sikh family, Sikhism, where history is entangled with freedom from Moghuls, a time when the Sikh faith was born. The blood, the sacrifices made, etc etc. But I am not going to sit here and say I hate Muslims today - for what a section of them did years ago. Like how is that relevant for today? I know better than that
Lets just go into recent history, 1984 Sikh Massacre. Sikhs were murdered by Hindus. My parents families were affected, a lot of them were living in Delhi. Some of them still have PTSD, and some can't even experience PTSD because they were murdered. However, I was not brought up to hate Hindus or anyone that hurt my grandfathers and families. If they had, I would not have married into a family of Hindu faith.
What was done in the past is not the responsibility of someone who was not even born then. And if they were part of that era, and have now learned for the better, who the hell I am to place judgements?
But here we are where Sikhs are being clustered as "Khalistani loonies."
If someone voices out about Hindu extremists, then it is Hinduphobia - so what can I call those who are clumping others together?
Just a decade ago, this forum was what India projected itself to be - a community of diverse faiths and communities. We never even knew who was from what faith, we just chilled and talked to one another. Now, even if you don't ask, you will know who is of what faith.
Weddings on Sunday should be banned. Tumhe saste mein hall mil raha hai, toh hum Monday 9am kaam karne wale kya kare?😡

Very well said Simmi. Ever since a bunch of extremists have been let out loose, this place has turned into a battlefield. Every thread looks the same.
Queer-baiting is in vogue now... Harry Styles does that, now others would, too. Parents won't mind. This is business.
